Centre for Sustainable Engineering has been established for many years providing engineering services throughout Peterborough Cambridgeshire and across the Uk. The world needs a new industrial revolution, introducing technologies which integrate human activities with the environment. Recent and future environmental legislation and standards are a major driving force for such technologies, and will offer great opportunities for new and more efficient businesses and technologies. As European business responds to the challenge, it needs a support infrastructure that gives a holistic and cross-sectoral access to new and de-risked technologies. CSEng is the UK national clearing house for such information, knowledge and technologies.
Centre for Sustainable Engineering services brings people together from across disciplines, professions and industries who share a common interest in maximising efficiency in the use of energy and materials, and the elimination of toxic and polluting impacts from industrial societies. A non-profit organisation with a team of commercial engineers and network of over 40 industry and academic experts, we are the only completely independent partnership forming collaborative teams across industry and sectoral boundaries to carry out research and technology application.
The Centre for Sustainable Engineering services was founded by the UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (UK CEED), a leading change agent in environmental policy and management, in partnership with leading engineering universities, with seed funding from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) for the regional arm of its work. The Centre has an Industrial Sustainability Board, comprising leading national and international companies, who guide its strategic agenda. The Centre's work is focused into three Units: Technology Information, Evaluation and Training, Research and Technology Transfer and Commercialisation.
