great food, poor delivery

for years now the only place we order pizza from is chinchilla's. Great value for money and delicious food make it a must- The staff are lovely and so is the delivery driver but, never order if you are in a rush or are starving!if you order to collect, from my experience in over 5 years they are never ready when they say they will be and you have to wait for your order. Delivery service is worse. They usually quote 45mins to an hour. Its more like 80 mins to 100 mins! Once we waited 3 hours for delivery (!) when we rang we were told that the delivery driver had been in an accident- we would have been more understanding if they'd had the courtesy to ring the customers and let them know we had children waiting for their tea! Eventually the food arrived after 10pm- no reduction in price for the inconvenience.so why do we keep going back? one reason- the food! it really is delicious and it makes up for the shoddy service.
