Chris Wood Hair Studio officially opened in January 2016.

I wanted the salon to stand out from the rest, with the help of the Davines ethos and products im delighted how the salon turned out.

Davines is an exceptional Product line, with unrivaled quality but with a belief that quality doesnt have to impact the environment. I wanted to use the same beliefs in creating my 1st salon.

I built the salon using as many reclaimed items as possible, choosing to upcylce furniture and flooring rather than it being disposed of.
Using eco head sinks to half water consumption, disposable towels to save on laundering costs and low electricity bulbs to save on power consumption.

I started my career in Ripon, Being a finalist in Scwarzkopfs young artictic team every year. I was also a finalist in the Scwarzkopf creative competion in my 2nd year.

Moving to York I began working with Wella proffessionals. Completing all the educational courses to perfect my skills over 11 years.

I was priviledged enough to work with their artistic brand Sebastian. In that time I won a national Wella trend vision award. I was also finalist for Wella's young artistic team 2 years running and also a finalist for the prestigious Sebastain Cult team 3 years running.
I had a great look into the world of stage work and creative hairdressing, working for Sebastian and Wella on various catwalks and projects. Working alongside some of the worlds best hairdressers.
