This is the highest qualification available for this work and I will be keeping up to date with my skills not only in the work that I undertake but by attending further training, courses and seminars run by Civil Ceremonies Ltd.
Independent of the church or any religious or humanist organisation I can craft an end of life ceremony designed to allow close family, friends and associates to say their final farewell in their own way whilst still honouring and reflecting the beliefs, personality and lifestyle of the person who has died. This can be non-religious or semi-religious, mixed faith, spiritual or holistic. It can be a celebration of the person's life or a sensitive memorial for someone who has been taken too soon.
I felt it was important to find out more about how I could understand this condition and be able to support families better in the course of my work.
The certificate for runner-up the most promising Funeral celebrant goes to Christine Mabbott. Christine is a new celebrant but received a number of nominations from both funeral directors and families. The judges felt her time spent with families and attention to detail made her a very close runner-up.
I truly believe that the day you say your final farewell to a loved one is no ordinary day. I use my previous experience and skills to help guide people through the ceremony planning process gently, calmly and with dignity and respect.
“You certainly put our nerves at ease. And you made the afternoon an enjoyable celebration"
“Thank you for meeting with us this morning. We felt so much better about the ceremony after seeing you"
“Thank you so much for the beautiful ceremony you created"
“Thank you for such a perfect send off for dad yesterday. So many of the people there said how you managed to sum dad up so well, it was as if you knew him. Honestly, I could not have believed the ceremony would make me feel so lucky"
“You only get one chance and thanks to you it was perfect"
