"the cleve", as it's known to locals and regulars can provide a decent night out but it depends on wether or not any entertainment is provided...live sport on a big screen might not suit everyone but the pub thrives on it. its a large relatively modern set up with multiple pool tables and a nonedescript burger based menu...the beer is the usual carling/stella fodder backed by a variety of "jug" offers..on a weekend its staffed by decent doormen and though busy the staff work hard to serve you promptly. the age groups courted by the cleve cover the 18 to 35 crowd.i've not regreted a night out at the cleve but i hardly stay awake all night planning my next visit either....its very much a place you need to work with and not against..ie cheer the sport and play some pool, otherwise it can be a long night
