Closer to Nature - Stacey's Childminding

“Being a mum, I know how much your child means to you. I know how hard it is making the decision to go back to work and looking for the right childcare to suit you and your child. When I first started I was looking for childcare that was flexible in a safe, home environment that was at an affordable cost. I came to the decision that I would become a childminder after the birth of my daughter, and show support, helping other parents who have decided to go back to work by offering that flexible, safe, home environment where you can be happy and relaxed going back to work, knowing your child is in the best care. I aim to develop a genuine bond with your child and with parents and offer a settled, close relationship, where your child can build their experiences.
My baby is now much older and I have moved from Norfolk, where I was a very popular childminder, with children ranging from under 1 up to 8 years old. Since moving to Bristol I have expanded my business to include a more natural approach to childcare, including child-led approach to learning, being outdoors 80% of our time, worked at Forest school's, where the children can learn from the love of play in the outdoor environment. I hope to continue to offer the positive, home environment, as well as bringing in the natural environment for children to learn and grow at their natural pace.
Since learning more about natural and child-led learning and all its benefits led me to do something I never thought possible, I made the decision to home educate my daughter, giving her much more freedom in her learning journey. I am now looking to extend my services to the local home education community to join us on this journey with us."

I care for the welfare and upbringing of our future generation, and believe all children are precious gifts and I treat them as though they are my own.
