Roe and red deer, horses and sheep roam and graze freely, and a great many species of birds and butterflies thrive. The hills are a paradise for walkers and you do not have to go far for a sensational view. A five minute climb from the hotel's garden will reward you with a panorama taking in the surrounding hills, part of the Somerset levels and Bristol Channel with its landmark islands Steep and Flat Holm and the Welsh coast beyond.Set in four acres of tranquil gardens, featuring a fine variety of shrubs, one of the largest monkey puzzle trees in the South West, an ancient yew, a young handkerchief tree and an organic kitchen garden.
