We had some work done by this company who claimed to be fensa registered...they weren't! We paid and believed the salesman's patter. After the recent rain we have a window which leaks terribly and a door that isn't right. We don't have a certificate which I was promised and when I asked fensa they told me Cookridge windows account was frozen. I'm going to pay a decent fitter to sort out my problems and wouldn't let these people back in my house..please avoid.

Happy With Fitting But......
The fitters were friendly and did a good job but am not very happy with the owner. He did not check the work done, or indeed, contact us to fnd out if we were happy. On the first day of installment, the fitters informed us that they needed to leave at approx. 1pm to go measure up another job, we called Shaun (the owner) to find out why the fitters couldn't do a full day and he said they finished at 3pm and he would come down - he didn't but called the fitters and this resulted in them staying till 3pm. The fitters arrived the next working day and finished the work. In hindsight we should have asked for a written quote, as we did not get one. Shaun asked for a sum in cash, which we gave the fitter and only received a hastly written receipt, with no specific details on it. When we originally asked for a quote, Shaun arrived somewhat late and when asked quoted us for a door that we were not sure when we could have fitted. He said the price would remain the same whenever we had it fiited. Approx. a week later we asked Shaun to measure the door and arranged a time with him, he appeared 1 hour earlier when my husband was in bed due to working night shifts, he denyed all knowledge of this but he proceeded to measure the door and frame. We asked for a discount for cash and Shaun quoted us a sum, then the price went up so we ended up paying the original sum quoted. No discount at all. Summing up, we would not recommend this company, Anglian quoted us £375 more but that included french doors which Cookridge Windows did not supply.
