About Us

How many times have you had a great craft idea for your class, gone to the resources cupboard only to discover that what you need is not available? Or seen a great kit in a supplier catalogue but it's only available in packs of 25 so you have to buy two and have loads left over? Here at Crafteach we have experienced first-hand the frustration teachers feel when trying to plan and deliver craft activities and it is our intention to resolve this.

Our Services

As well as offering class packs for each project we also sell individual packs allowing you to order exactly the number of kits you need. Each project also offers a Teacher Pack with templates, easy to follow printable instructions and a 'How to' video showing how to create your project.

Background

Crafteach is a family-run business aiming to provide busy primary school teachers with ready-prepared craft activity packs, freeing up staff time to teach and support children, rather than research and resource craft activities. Of course, busy parents and carers are also welcome to buy from us!

I am Julia Martin, a primary school teacher, wife and mother of two boys. I worked for ten years in primary schools as a teaching assistant before completing teacher training and am currently working as a supply teacher.

As a teaching assistant, many staffroom discussions centred on how frustrating it was to have a great idea for, say, a Christmas card or DT project, only to discover that the resources were not available in school and knowing that to source them would mean spending precious time searching for a supplier and probably buying far more than we actually needed. After speaking to fellow teachers and teaching assistants in other schools it became apparent that it is a very wide-spread problem. So I decided to do something about it and Crafteach was born!
