I qualified as an Art Psychotherapist in 2011 when I completed my MA Art Psychotherapy Practice at the Northern Programme for Art Psychotherapy.Before becoming an Art Therapist I was a self employed artist and worked in the mental health and social care sector for twelve years in various roles. This gave me an in depth knowledge of many mental health issues individuals may face from depression and anxiety to more complex mental health issues such as schizophrenia and psychosis. It seemed a natural progression to Combine my love of art and all things creative with my interest in mental health and become an Art Therapist.
