Terrible company!!

Service

Quality

Value

This company are absolutely terrible, I’ve have nothing but disgusting customer service, major issues with the installation and issue with the windows themselves. The company installed our windows throughout our property and, in doing so, they damaged radiators, walls and didn’t fit the windows correctly. When the winter season began, we had windows flooding water into our home. I tried to call them out to rectify the problems, and spoke to a number of staff within the Exeter branch (despite us being based in Plymouth) who said they’d get back to me and never did. I ended up having to take the window out myself which is when I established the window was not correctly installed in the first place. I own a renovation company but was unfortunately too busy to install my own windows at the time, hence the reason for trusting DGSolutions. I then had to reinstall the window correctly myself, although damage had already been caused to my daughters room and they didn’t seem to care, nor did they formally apologise. We then had another fault with our living room window letting water in which damaged our oak flooring, curtains, and blew the plaster off the walls in areas. After investigation I found that this window was also incorrectly installed without sealing the windows, which was letting water through. We then had to wait weeks before anyone could come out and no apology was received yet again. We’re still having ongoing issues with seals leaking and the windows have only been in 6months! The warranty for the windows are pointless and you can’t ever get in contact to have them looked at! This is such an unprofessional company that do not provide any level of customer service. We’ll most certainly be taking matters further.

1 star is too high

Its 0 stars from me As it stands a 1 star review is over what I would ideally like to put. On the 23rd June we completed a design with a sales rep at our house and paid the £4000 deposit with 28 days to cancel. The next day I emailed to cancel the order and had this response back: "Please refer to your contract with regards to any refund owing as this will be issued via cheque 28 days after the date you signed your contract agreement with DG Solutions." No problem we thought. 28 days would take us till 20th July and then we would receive our deposit back. Here we are on the 4th August and I still do not have my deposit back. Last week I rang to find out what was going on to be told that the deposit had been sent back but unfortunately we had not received it. After talking to a very rude lady called "Leanne" I spoke with Daniel (one of the MD's) and was told that I would be contact on Wednesday 2nd August to complete an over the phone bank transfer and I dutifully gave them my bank details. On 3rd August I emailed again to find out what was happening as I did not receive the phone call and I was fobbed off with " the email has been forwarded to accounts". I am not waiting for a return email, after sending 3 now with no response, to inform me of the address, so I know where to send a letter as per the instructions of my legal representation. All this and I never even wanted the conservatory!

most rude and incompetent company around

Service

Quality

Value

Guess what, new guttering leaking worse than my old one. Partially sorted. Down pipe bracket now broken and hanging loose. Rude and obnoxious guttering service/sales manager beyond belief. Secondly the roof tiles called hips have been sliding down and the Starter Hip Tiles now slid down into the gutter. I had an independent roofer around who advised that this is a serious Health & Safety issue as these tiles (on two ends of the house) will immimently fall of and if someone is walking below.... Simple reasons, the fitters didn't replace the hip irons to keep the hip tiles in place! I will be reporting today and keep you updated. Take my advise, don't even waste your breath on thinking getting a quote! PS, I clicked a star on the rating, which I now can't remove. I am rating them 0/5.

LUCKY ESCAPE!!

Service

Quality

I was recommended. It all started off well and went down hill rapidly before it began. The sales girl was lovely. She gave me a convenient time - no mention about my husband being in! I was expecting the sales rep at the time given, only to receive a phone call 1 hour before. "Hello, xxxxxxxxx will your husband be in for the appointment?" I have never heard of anything so ridiculous and told him so. "It's data protection" was the reply. I was fuming. Taken the morning off work to be told they could not make it without my husband. I told him if the company worked 24/7 as my husband does then make it 9 pm. Guess what? They didn't show. I rang back the following day to be told by the same xxxx that they rang me twice to confirm the time. Guess what? No one rang. No message. No text. Not even an apology. Or to even re-book the appointment. The moral of this message is DON'T BOTHER.

Sales Call

Service

Quality

A cold caller from DG was in my area and i agreed to a quote. The guy who rang insisted my husband be present when the salesperson called. I explained this was not going to happen as last thing my husband wants when he gets home is to spend the evening listening to a window salesman. I am perfectly capable of making decisions myself. He explained it was company policy. I explained its our marriage policy I deal with these matters and we have been in partnership for 30 years. I asked how long his business had been going? At this point, i think my phone line must have gone dead.....Hello? Hello? I think I had a lucky escape. I would not recommend this company. However, they may have improved, if the last two reviews are to be believed.

Had new windows fitted by this company in the summer, assured by salesman that they would use there own fitters, first lie, 2 sub contractors arrived who were loud and impertinant , after a quick check of installation i paid but never got a receipt, i asked by phone for a receipt and was told, 'we don't give receipts' after an argument i was eventually sent a receipt i asked for my fensa certificate and was told they would phone back, they did not, i contacted fensa who sorted it for me, now with the high winds and rain, water is entering the wall cavity as the windows have not been sealed properly, i have paid a contractor to do the job properly as i do not want anyone from this company in my house again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you value your property there are hundreds of double glazing firms about give this one a miss

DG SOLUTIONS - AWFUL CUSTOMER CARE

Service

Quality

Value

Customer Services is extremely important to any business and it is sad that DG Solutions has one of the worst customer service departments in the UK. They say they will call you back when they don't; they don't turn up to appointments; they fob you off with an aggressive and unprofessional manner. I have contacted them several times to fix a faulty window they installed and after 2 months I've still not had it fixed. Avoid this firm. Until Bill Nash (Manager) sorts out his customer service/staff, do not let them do work for you.

We don't need your business

Service

Quality

Rather surprisingly, I have just had a second call from DG Solutions. Previously they rang to arrange a quote but I turned them down when I heard that my wife had to be present before they would quote. This is a well-known hard sale technique that I do not accept. The person who phoned this morning was the same who spoke to me last time, who I had turned down. I let him speak for a little while as he told me about their great deals (again). When he got to the part where he asked me if he could send someone round to quote, I said, "Yes, but you won't quote if my wife is not here?" To which he responded that they do not bend the rules. In that case, I said, you will not suit our needs. As he prepared to hang up I told him that this insistence on their part had not just lost him a potential customer in me, but also in everyone to whom I speak. His response was, "We turn over 800K a week, so we don't really need your business, not to be facetious". I said, "You are being facetious." To which he responded that they were not desperate for my custom. I said, "No, you're not desperate, you've just rung me twice within a short space of time, because you'd forgotten the first call you made." I hung up while he attempted to justify himself. My advice: get a local company in; where the chap who quotes you is also the one who actually does (or supervises) the work. Local traders don't have time to play games; they have a business to run and they know that they are only as good as their last job. Besides, as the chap from DG said to me, "We don't really need your business!"

I had never heard of this company before, but I had a cold call, which I normally give the cold shoulder to, anyway i ended up having replacement windows from this company, the original quote was outrageously expensive, but they managed to reduce it by about 9K !! I had the work done which I was assured by the salesman would be employed fitters, the fitters turned out to be sub contractors who were brash, impertinant and too slap dash, i have had to repair and clean up around every window,I still have to find out if they keep the cold out in the winter, and to date I still not had my Fensa certificate

DG Solutions - bad customer service

Service

Quality

Value

DG Solutions' customer service is below any sub-standard. Rude and aggressive on the phone, it definitely leaves a sour taste. And they do not care about customers' time one bit. They cancelled an installation appointment, re-arranged for another time, did not stick with it, either, and said when questioned why that they'd never given out that specific time, in the first place. So the customer is lying??? I would never use this company again and would not recommend it to anyone.

I have just had a whole set of windows and doors fitted by this Company and must admit I was more than happy and impressed with their workmanship and service, and friendliness of the fitters. All done in a day which was amazing. I am glad I sat down with the company rep(Scott) and decided on their product, and there was no pressure sales pitch. Well done DG Solutions keep up your fine good work and service. I would not hesitate in recommending DG Solutions to anyone looking for a fine quality product at a competative price.

windows and porch

Service

I have just had the front of my house transformed by DG Solutions. The windows were replaced up and down which included a large bay all in white UPVC. This was finished off, after removing the existing porch by installing a new porch with a roof line which extends over the front of the garage forming a metre deep canopy. We chose Georgian windows and the window bars aligned exactly between the porch and the bay window giving perfect symmetry. The quality of the work was excellent as were the team completing the work. They were courteous, arrived promptly each day at 8am. Nothing requested was to much trouble for them to complete (Peter Adam & John) A very satisfied customer who would not hesitate to recommend this company.
