Cowboy outfit.
Bought an 07 Mazda 6 last February from them last year (2014). Reasonable miles and decent condition for a very cheap price. It was advertised on Autotrader as new cam belt with some history and with 1 lady owner. Car drive nice and other than a bit of ware and tear car seemed fine. However no history came with the car and it certainly wasnt a lady owner who previously had it - unless her name was Bruce..... Took the car for an immediate inspection at a local trusted garage as I got very suspicious. They identified that the cam belt had not been changed at all, they also spotted that the car had been touched up with paint (and it was a poor job) to cover rust up that was coming through on the rear wheel arches and back passenger side door. Also they were shocked that the car had even made it through it’s MOT that DH Cars had provided (which came with no advisories!!!!) . Effectively the MOT wasn't worth the paper it was written on as all the breaks were well worn and illegal, as well as other issue that should have been spotted with the MOT. They also identified that rear suspension bushes were completely worn and needed replacing, there was a very bad chip in the windscreen, and exhaust was in very bad condition and would start failing very soon. They advised that the car needed some work and contacting the trader either for refund as the car wasnt even worth the money paid for it in it's current condition. I Had a hell of a job to get hold of the owner again (was always out of the office every time I phoned!) and the staff seemed uninterested in the problems. Despite the problems I kept the car (more fool me!) as it was a good runner and it was very cheap for the year and miles. It just seemed like it needed TLC so I bit the bullet and paid to get the car straightened out. Anyway after replacing all the brake pads and disks, getting two new tires and replacing the suspension bushes I then had to replace the fuel injector seals (which also needed doing and cost me £400!) all was well for just over 12 months – until this month when the DPF blew. Car is completely written off and I’m selling it as spares now! To be fair the DPF probably wasn’t something I could blame the dealer for but I certainly wouldn’t buy a car from them again. They were a complete cowboy outfit once the money was handed over and I would advise buyers to shop around rather than using this dealer or at the very least do full RAC inspection of car immediately while it’s on their site!

Once again, I have been back to DH Car Sales and purchased another vehicle, my 2nd car from them. I can honestly say that both cars I have bought have been very reliable. A very big thank you to the owner Darren and his workers who have looked after me and my family members over the last 4 years. A FAB team and a highly recommended used car garage.

me and my family members have delt with this local business for nealy 5 years now,we have recomended this business to friends and family,as they are true and hard working,if what this melody bell said is true?why has this business only had this one complaint?can anybody just write rubish on your web site about somebodys long standing good business name?i have been and had a word with the business about what has been said on your web page,there reply is and stands,that if a web site like the independent will print this sort of rubish about a long standing garage without emailing the business,says a lot for the people who write this trash,thank you for your time,A VERY HAPPY TRUTHFUL CUSTOMER...

Dh car sales
Bought a car from this garage & at the time of purchasing I was promised the earth. In reality I've been left with a car that has cost more in repairs than the car is worth! I have now had to scrap the car completely. Avoid this garage at all costs the cars they stock are unroadworthy rubbish. Buyers beware!
