Chris Hatton Danton Partners Misconduct

I was a client of Chris Hatton of Danton Partners. Unfortunately. He is the most unprofessional and untrustworthy person I have ever met. The investigation Committee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants have found two cases of misconduct against Chris Hatton. See below September 2016 Mr Christopher Hatton ACMA CGMA of Aylesbury, United Kingdom. The Investigation Committee found a prima facie case of misconduct against Mr Hatton in relation to a complaint that whilst engaged to provide accountancy services to a business he had failed to submit a Partnership tax return for the year 2013/2014 on time, and, as a result, the business incurred an HMRC late filing penalty, and a daily penalty fee. In addition he failed to accept responsibility for the late filing of the return. He was thereby in breach of the following fundamental principles of Code of Ethics: integrity, professional competence and due care and professional behaviour. Mr Hatton agreed by way of consent order to the imposition of the sanction of a reprimand, a fine of £250, without further proceedings.” August 2017 Mr Christopher Hatton ACMA CGMA of Aylesbury, United Kingdom. The Investigation Committee found a prima facie case of misconduct against Mr Hatton for providing accountancy services to the public whilst not registered as a Member in Practice and therefore not holding a valid practicing certificate. He had received several reminders to renew his registration but had allowed it to lapse in contravention of CIMA Regulation Part I.12, Member in Practice Rules 4 and 12. As such, there was a real prospect that that he would be found to have failed to act professionally and with integrity as required by CIMA’s Code of Ethics and would therefore be found guilty of misconduct under the Laws of the Institute. Mr Hatton consented to the imposition of a severe reprimand, a fine of £2,000.00 with a payment of costs of £365.00 without further proceedings.
