Denise Crookes established DCCOSMETICS in 2010 and due to demand left the NHS in 2015 to dedicate herself to her clinic full time. Specialising in toxin and dermal filler techniques, offering an array of anti-ageing skin rejuvenation treatments, Denise has built up a wide and loyal client base. She is passionate about offering her clients the most effective and safe treatments available, using well researched and scientifically proven products.

As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, Denise is able to legally prescribe treatments such as botulism toxins without the supervision from a doctor in accordance with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), allowing for more holistic consultations, client confidentiality and continuity of care. Qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1990, Denise specialised in Burns and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery with over 20 years experience working in the largest NHS Unit in the Northwest. Alongside eminent Plastic Surgeons, she developed in-depth knowledge in highly complex procedures and research, not just non-surgical techniques but all aspects of Plastic Surgery. This places Denise in the unique position to other Aesthetic Practitioners, as she is able to provide rigorous informed consent and ethical professionalism to clients.

In some circumstances non-surgical techniques may not be indicated for the outcome desired therefore, she may suggest that facial surgery may be more beneficial and will refer you to a list of Reputable Plastic Surgeons.In 2006 she completed BSc (Hons) in a Plastic Surgery based Nursing Degree, then studying at master level in 2008 and became a fully registered Independent Prescriber. She developed her non-surgical aesthetic skills at the highly accredited course lead by Adrian Richards FRCS, Plastic Surgeon in London. In 2012 due to her specialist knowledge of the skin and wound management she worked as a Senior Specialist Nurse in Tissue Viability providing clinical expertise, education, research and strategies for an integrated service both community and hospital patients in South Manchester.
