Great restaurant

This all too easily missed Persian restaurant in Nottingham is really fantastic and very reasonably priced. Debsh is located on Wollaton Street which runs parallel to Derby Road a couple minutes up from the town centre on the way to Canning Circus. It is close to other great spots for a pre-dinner drink such as the Hand in Heart and the Organ Grinder. The food was excellent: try the soup (a revelation of flavour and noodles) or the mixed starter and the kebab grills also where a cut above. The service was relaxed and friendly and when the waiter did not know what was in a particular dish he asks the enthusiast chief to come and explain which gave a real authentic context to the dishes. The venue is in an old commercial brick building which is elegantly improved by the touches of Persian arts and decor. We tipped and will be returning as soon as possible.
