Welcome to Detail My Ride, we are a specialist vehicle detailing company based near Solihull in the heart of the West Midlands, operating from our secure, purpose built detailing centre.

Established in 2006 Detail My Ride set out to redefine standards in both customer service, and vehicle appearance treatments which is an ambition we now believe has been achieved despite entrepreneur Gareth Wynne being the youngest professional detailer in europe. We are proud to work closely with Dodo Juice.

Detailing is a new process, introduced to the UK after it first became successful in the USA. It has become more and more popular, and how has a thriving popularity throughout the UK and other areas of europe.

In many ways, it is very similar to various different options currently available to look after your vehicle, however, many of these do not provide the best for your vehicle, in many cases, inflict unnecessary damage to your vehicle, which can reduce its value significantly.




Detailing uses innovative products and processes, which eliminate many of the problems associated with traditional vehicle care methods, such as avoiding the use of strong acids and harmful chemicals, using microfibre towels, and soft animal hair brushes to reduce the risk of inflicting damage to paintwork and other delicate surfaces.

However, the main process associated with detailing is paintwork correction. This involves using various pads and polishes together with a machine polisher, to remove a thin layer (Typically 3-5uM) of clearcoat, to remove defects such as swirl marks, scratches, and oxidisation. In this picture (right), you can see a comparison, once paintwork correction has been carried out, the finish is free from defects. This allows the clearcoat to reflect light perfectly, giving a flawless finish.

These services are formulated, using as many products from the Dodo Juice range as possible, to ensure the ultimate experience, we are able to provide a maintenance pack once the detail has been carried out. - 21 step wash process, inc wheels
- Paintwork machine polished using Lime Prime, restoring a high gloss finish, and preparing the paintwork for wax
- Several layers of Dodo Juice Supernatural to ensure maximum protection
- Wheels sealed with a synthetic polymer sealant
- Glass cleaned, tyres and plastics dressed
- Full interior detail



New for 2010, we are now able to offer an exclusive selection of Zaino paintwork protection details, which offer unrivalled levels of protection with oustanding durability for your paintwork, wheels and all areas of your vehicle. With full vehicle protection details starting from as little as £199, Zaino offers fantastic value when compared to many other protection systems currently available. Zaino has an unrivalled reputation for durability, and is known throughout the world for its signature wet look.

Zaino Maintenance Top-Up from 50 GBP:

- Pre-rinse, application of pH neutral snowfoam
- Vehicle washed using Zaino Z-7 Show Car Wash, inc wheels, arches and door shuts
- Vehicle dried using ultra plush microfibre towels
- Vehicle Paintwork treated to Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal, topping up protection and restoring gloss

Zaino Protection Detail from 250 GBP:

- Pre rinse, application of citrus based degreaser to remove loose dirt, and previous polish/wax deposits
- Wheels, tyres and arches cleaned using acid free gel, soft metal free, natural hair brushes
- Vehicle washed using Zaino Z-7 Show Car Wash, inc door shuts
- Vehicle paintwork clayed using Zaino Z-18 Clay Bar to remove bonded contaminants
- Vehicle paintwork cleansed using Zaino Z-AIO, applied via machine polisher to cleanse paintwork and leave a high gloss finish in preperation for sealant
- Zaino Z-6 Wipedown prior to sealant application
- 3 layers of Zaino Z2/Z5 (ZFX) sealant to provide maximum protection and gloss
- Vehicle paintwork wiped down with Zaino Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal to ensure maximum gloss
- Wheels sealed with Zaino C-S Clear Seal
- Glass cleaned, tyres, plastics and rubbers dressed, exhaust tips polished and protected

Our enhancement detail is ideal for those on a budget, we also offer a specific ew car protection detail. New car protection detail ensures that the vehicle is prepared and protected to ensure the finish can be easily maintained, and major defects inflicted before purchase are removed. However, our regular enhancement detail suited to vehicles which are in good cosmetic condition, however require some attention. We recommend this detail to be carried out every 6-8 months.

Enhancement Detail (Minor Correction) from 200 GBP:

- 21 step wash process, inc wheels, arches, door shuts etc
- Single stage correction process, removing light marring and swirl marks, leaving a high gloss finish
- Several layers of 51% carnauba wax
- Wheels sealed with a synthetic polymer sealant
- Glass cleaned, tyres, plastics and rubbers dressed
- Full interior detail, inc fabric and leather protection

New Car Protection Detail from 150 GBP:

- 21 step wash process, inc wheels. Transport wax, delivery stickers etc removed using water based degreaser
- Paintwork clayed using mild detailing clay
- Paintwork cleansed via machine polisher to ensure a perfectly smooth, glossy finish, in preperation for protection
- Paintwork and wheels sealed using a synthetic polymer sealant
- Paintwork treated to 51% carnauba wax
- Glass cleaned, tyres, plastics and rubbers dressed
- Engine Bay cleaned, sealed and protected
- Full interior detail, all interior surfaces protected inc glass, leather, plastics and fabrics



Our Paintwork Correction is the ultimate service we offer. It ensures the finish of your paintwork gives the ultimate in reflection, often restoring the appearance of your vehicle to better than showroom condition.

A truly bespoke service, ensuring the absolute best in appearance and protection. Using the latest processes ranging from Machine Polishing, through to Wet Sanding, swirl marks, holograms, oxidisation and other paint defects can be removed, to ensure that the finish achieved will be nothing short of incredble.

Paintwork Correction is a bespoke, tailored service, and what is included depends on the paintwork condition,type of paint defects which require correction, and most importantly, your budget. We can also arrange for additional services such as wheel refurbishment, interior repairs, re-trims. As well as modifications such as wrapping to be carried out whilst the vehicle is in our care.
