From digging the footings to our van pulling away from your home on the last day you can be sure DHF will be a hassle free experience. Garden Landscaping
I was a bit sceptical about employing a builder to landscape and refurbish my garden but I couldn't be happier. The team arrived stripped away the old pergolas levelled and made it so clean and easy to maintain. Within 2 days it was transformed. George

Rapid response & great results for two small jobs
I needed a gap at the end of a bath to be boxed-in and also a consumer unit in my hall too.. Their response was rapid, the work was started and completed quickly and the standards of workmanship, tidiness and courtesy were unbelievable good in this day and age.

Loft conversion
Harty carried out a loft conversion and completed it with a solid wood floor and bespoke wardrobs, We were very pleased with the can do attitude and he would go out of his way to get things done with minimal fuss and none intrusiveness in the family home wear possible, on the whole we would strongly recommend him and his team. Attic Conversion
Harty did a complete re-roof as part of my attic conversion. The qualiy of work was excellent and generally tidy. He also installed a new stair to the attic, which is sturdy and looks good. I would agree with others here in saying that he is a reliable and honest tradesman. Thank you.

Damp Proofing
We employed Harty to do our damp proofing as being an old house we had none. We found Harty to be honest and up front about what we needed done and were we thought we would need to have a complete mess to make good, he came up with a solution that was was both cleaner and more cost effective. We had other quotes and being pensioners I think they thought we would believe what ever they told us and blind us with science and quoted for all sorts of things to be done including chopping half the plaster off the walls. Harty reassured us and all that was needed was the walls injecting outside. I would fully recommend him and his team and I can say that it has been a pleasure to have had such a reliable and honest tradesman. Thank you Harty.

Bathroom
Having seen some of Harty's previous work, I didn't hesitate to recommend him to my parents when they needed a new bathroom and I'm so glad I did. The finish is brilliant, his team worked to high standards and even though they had to rip out the old bathroom they kept the mess to a minimum. If I'm looking to do any other alterations I certainly will be looking to Harty and all at DHF to do them for me. I would certainly recommend them. Thanks again Harty.

Complete renovation
Employed Harty Fear to renovate our house ; this included a complete roof rebuild and conversion from simple bungalow to 4/5 bedroom home. Harty's crafts man ship is second to none - my husband and I are both designers and he translated all our ideas beautifully.....even the crazy ones ! His commitment to finishing the job has been admirable. I would not hesitate to recommend his work.

Top Quality Workmanship
I have seen some of Harty's previous joinery and building work around Nottingham and I have always been very impressed with the high standards this Company produce. So when I needed a new garage roof constructed just before Christmas I asked Harty for his advice. I decided to have pitched wooden roof constructed and finished with a fibreglass top. The finished work looks excellent and it was all constructed in a day - Most builders would have taken 2 days to do it and consequently it would have cost much more! Thanks DHF Builders and keep up the good work and service

bi-fold doors
We wanted some bespoke internal bi-fold doors fitting and could not be happier with the finished product. This was not an easy job and DHF showed a very high level of care and attention to detail at every stage. We would certainly use them again for any other building and joinery work. Thank you.

Kitchen & Solid Wood Flooring
DHF builders were one of the local companies I recieved quotes from when cosidering modernising my kitchen & laying new flooring. I was happily surprised with the competitive quote from DHF and equally felt comfortable discussing my requests with the builders. The work began on the agreed date and the builders ensured mimimal disruption to my families lifestyle & homelife. Completion was again on time and I was advised and informed of all decisions and progress along the way. The quality of the kitchen is excellent and the finish is to a very high standard. Each area demonstrating superb craftsmanship. The solid wood flooring completed the new kitchen and we were so impressed that we continued the wood flooring throughout the downstairs of our home. DHF were only too happy to complete this for us. Finding local reliable builders is often difficult but with DHF, i'd be happy to use them again and recommend them.

Facia and Soffits
I have recently employed DHF Builders to replace all my wooden facia's and soffits. I wanted to replace them with wood, rather than the plastic modern versions and DHF were only too happy to work to want I wanted. Harty from DHF advised me on what might look better and even referred me to some local properties to look at, so I could make final decisions about the exact spec. Harty explained things very clearly and I felt comfortable dealing with him. He worked around our timescales and kept us informed every step of the way. I don't often write reviews but I know that I find them useful when checking on companies. Trusted tradesmen are worth their weight in gold and DHF are right up there. Well done!

Garage doors and Kitchen - Bathroom
I have always been sceptical when employing outside contractors. DHF Builders were recommended to me as providing quality craftsmanship at a realistic price. Despite my initial qualms they provided a quality bathroom and kitchen and replaced a difficult to access garage door without problem. What really impressed me wasnt so much the excellent workmanship but the fact they turned up when they said they would and when construction problems arose solved them without constant references to the contract. When they left the completed job it was as if they had never been there, just a quality job.

loft converesion and new bathroom
We appointed DHF builders and contractors for a loft conversion that we required. The work was completed to an excellent standard and professionally carried out and completed to a very high quality. Not only did they create a beautiful bedroom with an adjoining en-suite, due to reasonable price that they quoted it allowed us to have our main bathroom upgraded. We appointed them to carry out these works for us again this was done to a very high quality and standard. Harty and the crew were all polite, courteous and nothing was eve to much trouble for them. When the works were completed and it was time to say our goodbyes it felt like we were loosing part of the family we are hoping to re-modernise our kitchen in the future and would appoint them to carry out our works for us. Home extension
Harty, from DHF, has undertaken work for us as part of a larger home extension. In addition to fitting the timber roof frame, doors and skirting boards for the house he was also contracted to fit a new bamboo floor and a complete new kitchen. The roof work was undertaken by Harty as part of the overall work for the home extension. For this Harty undertook the work himself and worked long hours to complete the roof thereby keeping the project on track. After observing Harty's commitment and approach to this work we requested he quote us separately for the installation of a new bamboo floor and kitchen. The Kitchen installation took about one week to complete and again Harty worked long hours to minimise any inconvenience to us. This installation was in a new build extension and included new units and counter tops. He also liaised with the electrician to fit the under-counter lighting and plinth lighting. Where there were gaps under the counter Harty used extra materials to fit a tray shelf. This made a potentially big gap next to the dishwasher functional and rounded off the appearance of the kitchen. I would highly recommend Harty as he is friendly, conscientious and delivers on his commitments. We will definitely utilise his services again.
