Directions Project are a Not-For-Profit crime diversion, intervention, and rehabilitation scheme aimed at raising awareness of the consequences of crime in Schools and Colleges in London.
Specializing in prevention and intervention, Directions deliver hard-hitting awareness-raising workshops on (subjects including) peer pressure, choices/crime & consequences, drugs, gangs, knife crime, and joint enterprise - which not only raise awareness of the pitfalls, and/or choices which can lead to young people, often inadvertently, becoming involved in illegal activity, but also of the consequences of making the wrong decisions - and realities of prison life.
Our workshops and programmes address a range of issues, including:
Crime & Consequences
The importance of education
Dealing with peer pressure
Choices – making the right ones
Knife crime
Gang culture
Joint Enterprise (and the law)
The Justice System
Custody – the reality of life behind bars
Consequences of a criminal record

"The workshop was fantastic! Students engaged really well and they all fed back that it was a very useful session. A particular student, who finds it difficult to focus, told me that it was the first time he had ever listened in class! Paul was brilliant with the students- they found it easy to relate to him and he talked to them on a level that was very relevant to their current situation. It was a large group of 27 male students in a small room, usually that would have been quite chaotic and the students would not have been able to sit still, let alone listen quietly- in this case, they sat still and listened very intently. I would recommend your service over and over again and would like to say a massive thank you to Paul!" Maria Bwengye, Student Liaison Support Worker, College of North West London
