Recently discoverd Directors after noticing them whilst visiting Bills cafe, this salon is rather charming and quaint! The team are very friendly and its one of the best haircuts i've ever recieved, would recommend this salon to anyone! A cambridge treasure!

Had a great trainee haircut today at directors, one of the best i've experienced in a training session, the guy in charge was really helpfull and they made me feel at ease, it took a few hours but i didn't mind because it looked great!!!!!

As a client of directors, i am shocked at these reviews as i have had many haircuts by a selection of their stylists and have never found fault. My current stylist is Olivia,i have previously had trouble at other salons to cope with my fine, fly away hair, she does wonders! I also have my hair coloured by poppy who understands fully what i want. Great salon, great staff! One happy customer!

I was incredibly dissapointed with the experience I had at this salon. I booked a trainee appointment and payed in advance. Unfortunately I arrived 10 minutes late, and the guy in charge (I assume the salon manager) criticised me for being late. Not a great welcome on my first visit to the salon. He and the trainee looked over my hair and he was incredibly rough with the brush, shaking my head. Meanwhile the phone went and he asked the trainee to take it, leaving me alone for 5 minutes mid consultation (while he did nothing). He criticised my previous hairdresser and insulted me & my current hair cut, when I have had plenty of compliments from friends before, so I know it suits me. All I wanted was a trim but he said that it was too difficult and inappropriate for the trainee. I've been a model many times before and what I wanted was never a problem in the past. SO I walked away given that they apparently couldn't cut a simple style. At least they gave me a refund on the amount I had payed in advance when booking. I came away rather upset at this man's rudeness and can only pity the staff that work there if he is indeed the manager - a bully and a poor director.

lack of competence and stinking attitude are a terrible combination for a hair salon, and this is exactly what you get here. It is hard to imagine, but they could not even dry my hair right (and I did not want anything fancy, just on a round brush). I can do it at home and they have no clue how to do in their salon!! It is just embarrassing how bad it is. Never, ever, ever will go there again. And who is going to attend to the distress they caused me with spoiling my hair with their manipulations?
