This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants, and having been a few times, have never had a bad meal here. The service can be a little slow at times, but i think that might just be the laid back Italian style! And it's also been packed out every time i've been. My personal favourite is the risotto and they are also more than happy to oblige special requests, such as without mushrooms. I have even been with a large group (20+) and every one was happy with their meal, each of which arrived promptly, and all perfectly cooked..... a rarity in my experience.

Dolce Vita is located in Kings Walk that has gone through a bit of regeneration recently. It's a light and airy restaurant serving good Italian food. All the favourites are on this list, lasagne, Bolognese, carbonara as well as some exotic dishes such as black pasta with scallops and calamari. The service can sometimes be a little slow and, although always friendly, the female owner can be a little overbearing. It's a small price to pay though for reasonably priced, quality food. They also have a delicious special menu for lunch and this is the time of day I have generally been to the restaurant.Dolce Vita is a welcome relief from the smattering of restaurant-chain Italians that appear all over Reading.
