Balance Payment

Prices are on a par with other companies, fitters appear experienced & are professional friendly in their manner. Our blinds fitted well with no problems experienced. However we will not be using Don Smith Blinds again due to their company policy regards payment. When we placed our order we were asked to pay a deposit of half the total cost, this we thought fair is what is generally expected from companies. Then about 5 days before our blinds were to be fitted we received an email stating that “Full payment must be made prior to the blinds being fitted”. We rang Don Smiths to be informed that the company had changed their terms last year that this is how it was now going to be. We expressed our disagreement with this particular term got no explanation as to why we were only informed of this via email just before the fitting date, which basically meant we did not really have a choice but to comply with their demand for payment. As said because of this particular change to their T&Cs we will not be using this company again, luckily there are many good blind fitting companies in our area.
