Arrest Warrant John Donnelly- updates?
Hi - it is well known John Donnelly and family are crooks but has he actually been arrested yet? He has been scamming families and the vulnerable for decades around Lanarkshire and yet again there is an arrest warrant out: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/in-your-area/lanarkshire/arrest-warrant-issued-lanarkshire-builder-29112262 Does anyone know if he was caught? He used to own a family caravan in Dunoon but unsure if he's been arrested? Anon.

Fraudster
We arranged for who I believe to be John Donnelly roofing aka top class roofing aka tcroofing7 (and possibly many more) to do some work …stupidly I paid for materials up front…then he had “personal family problems “…which we gave him the benefit of the doubt for…after still no show to do any work we asked for the paid for materials …reasonable we thought….I will drop off was response..3 further requests 3 same answers(we even offered to go and collect …as he said lived only 20 mins away…doubt that now!!)…will never use anyone from these” platforms “ again..bark…scoot…as believe me they don’t want to know if you have problems…I’m working away to try make it as difficult as possible for this John Donnelly scammer…steer clear of him folks ..and don’t use these platforms…

Scam
I unfortunately didnt see the reviews on this site and contracted him to do work. He took thousands for materials but kept coming up with excuses as to why he couldn't come to do the work. Repeatedly failed to show up. He never did a single thing. Looking at recovery action to get my money back. Do not use.

Scam Builder He will take you for as much money as he can
got home late evening to find a leak in my roof contacted bark for a tradesperson and John Donnelly Called me said he will come in morning to quote, he did, told me he would replace the felt and slates as needed, he said he would be there in the morning first thing , he showed at 11.30am and was finished by 3pm in never seen any felt go up on the roof or heard any slates being removed or hammered back down his worker sat on my patio most of the time while this guy bullshitted me with wanting me to phone n my insurance company any he will make it worth my while with cash sum, I paid him the money quoted (cash as his bank was under investigation for fraudulent transactions), He then said he did other work wanted another £350 which i did not give him he is harassing me for the money, my roof still leaks all he done was paint the whole lot with bitumen spilling it on my patio , I got an independent roofing contractor to asses the work and he has said it is a mess and needs all the felt replaced and no real work has been done all he has done is covered up the bad bits that still need repaired i paid John Donnelly to do this work and he didnt, Do not use TOP CLASS ROOFING COMPANY HE IS A FRAUDSTER AND A COWBOY

Guys been in jail for fraud just takes money off vulnerable people is using all different business names his new one is top class roofing company never pay for a job until it’s complete !!! Avoid at all costs unless you want this man to steal your hard earned cash

This guy came out to look at my grandmother (age 72) roof he then took a deposit of £500 from her and has not been back or will answer the phone

TERRIBLE ABSOLUTE JOKE
This guy 3 months ago done a £1500 Jon well was supposed to the 3 guys done 2 days work asked for a £800 deposit as it would take longer my Mrs stupidly done it as I was at work and never came back !!!

Cowboy - avoid!
Donnelly roofing, ark roofing, jd roofing...dissolves company when heat is on (court case) & is somehow allowed to rip more people off under a different name. Substandard material, a stack of excuses & unfinished job. Would recommend all avoid at all costs.

beware of this Cowboy
Beginning of March we arranged for this company (JD Roofing) to install new rough casting to our house, three people came (John Donnelly, Sean Paul Donnelly, Patrick xxxx) they carried out three days rough casting work completing only 65% of the work. John Donnelly was paid for the job but never returned to complete the other 35% of the work. They left my house, garden, and drive looking like a building site. I had to employ a professional reputable company to complete the work on my house which cost me another £1900.00. I have been advised by this company that the work done by John Donnelly is sub standard and installed incorrectly, he has not followed the manufacturers recommendations for installing and using their materials, and there is a strong possibility of problems in the near future with the walls cracking and the rough casting falling off. When I realised we were being ripped off by this John Donnelly we decided to look on the internet for information or history of John Donnelly roofers and rough casters. There was plenty of damming information recent and past, it seems by this evidence that this man has been getting away taking peoples money and ripping them off for years, also the work he does is sub standard and never completed. These review complaints go back to 2012 but I am sure there is more. Complaints about John Donnelly Roofing previously made on the Yell site by dissatisfied customers have recently been removed and a new advert posted clean of these complaints for JD Roofing 13 Dalveen Quadrant Coatbridge, this is the same shocker of a human being. He now has the audacity to offer discounts for OAP's the very people he has ease of ripping off. John Donnelly is trading under several different company names, addresses and phone numbers i Coatbridge and Airdrie. His description is 5foot 1inch tall, fat with short hair, be very aware this person will rip you off. He has taken a lot of money from me under false pretences, he has no regard for the law or for the people he is cheating. I have taken action against him and hopefully he will be prosecuted for his criminal actions against me and others he has ripped off. If you have had any bad experience with John Donnelly and company do not hesitate to contact your local Council Trading Standards, they have an ongoing criminal case open on him, this guy must be stopped.

Cowboy roofers
My parents had roof & gutters done just over a year ago , had been asked for money constantly to purchase materials as they went along then on several occasions after the roof was finished , leaks on the roof & guttering were found and on several occasions attempts were made to get them to come out and fix them - ignored everytime A different roofer then done those repairs but pointed out that the slates were not fixed onto the roof properly, so got it checked and found that nothing was nailed down and the guy on the roof actually picked the top ridge off with his hands and said that if anyone was out in the garden they would be killed-it was an accident waiting to happen, So the roof had to be lifted and redone as a result and cost another £3000 DO NOT TOUCH DONNELLYS!!!!

First class work
Donnelly roofing done a fantastic job on my house by slating and rough casting all round. Donnelly roofing shouldn't be slatted by false reviews. I would strongly recommend donnelly roofing to anyone needing building repairs. If you want a true review go to rated people reviews on donnelly roofing.

No after care and bad work
At the start of December 2011 Scotland was hit with a storm in the storm my roof was damaged 4 slates and a section of guttering We contacted Donnelly roofing who came that day gave an estimate and carried out the work the next day all good you would say well no for starters the guttering was now dripping water from 3 different points after calling Donnelly every day for 8 days and him saying he would come every time to fix it he never showed It got to the point he wouldn't answer his phone to our number so we had to use different phones to get him to answer Eventually he came and sealed the gutter not to well tho as its still dripping(have Video of this thinking of puting on YouTube ) Just before the new year my mrs was in driveway talking to our neighbour there was a gust of wind and two of the slates fitted by Donnelly slipped down the roof Again we had a bit of a time getting hold of him to come and fix them eventually he did Then we had another bout of bad weather and the 4 slates fitted by Donnelly have came out and slipped down the roof they are still there Donnelly was phoned and was supposed to come today and fix them but didnt show ifeel it's pointless contacting him again after paying him and making an insurance clam think I will be looking for a reputable builder and reporting Donnelly to trading standards although my mrs will persist and try and get him to fix it
