I was promised a delivery on the 2nd July between 14.35 and 15.35, I saw the van pull into our road, turn around without the driver getting out and drive away. Since then I have sent emails as I cannot get to speak to anyone at the Birmingham depot, its all pre-recorded messages, nobody has bothered to phone or email me its a complete waste of time. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME H0W COMPANIES LIKE THIS STAY IN BUSINESS!!!!!

The one time I have edalt with this company and I am utterly disgusted by them. They have done so many things that are wrong I wouldnt fit them in this space and you would probably fall asleep reading the text. Bottom line i highly recommend that you use a different company.

I would not recommend anyone use DPD for their delivery. I live in Plymouth and the nearest depot is Exeter which is a 2 hour journey to collect. They sting you for £10 + VAT to have anything delivered on a Saturday, totally disadvantaging anyone who actually works for a living. When you ring up, they won't deal with anything by phone - their "company policy" is that it has be by email - absolutely ridiculous rule which means I still don't have my parcel unless I pay the extra £10 to them or £10 in petrol to travel the 70 miles round trip to their depot. Dreadful, dreadful organisation!!!!!!!! I agree with Steve Hayward on this - they are completely incompetent!

There are three main reasons why DPD's level of service is so poor. Firstly they have very few depots, so picking up a consignment directly from them is often not an option - I was faced with a round trip in excess of 2 hours to the to the nearest depot Secondly their on-line system is badly flawed. It allowed me to book and pay for a next day delivery, which DPD then refused to complete, because they said it had been booked too late. Thirdly you can only contact them by email. It has taken a week and a dozen emails to convince them that although I have paid they haven't delivered my parcel. But instead of rearranging the delivery they have now sent the parcel back to the supplier. The supplier is going to use an alternative courier to finally get my delivery to me. It is clear that DPD regard good customer service as an unnecessary inconvenience. No wonder they have changed their name from Parceline.
