Bob is a very caring driving instructor. He will individually help you with each and every area of your driving you need help with. If you make a mistake whilst on your drive, he will not shout at you and tell you off, but stop the car, and then carefully explain what you did wrong. He will use an assortment of diagrams and explain how to avoid doing it again, and the penalties which can be involved for making such errors as a driver with a Licence. Bob will watch what you are doing as you drive and point out mistakes you are making to help you as a future driver, even if the mistakes are not something which you may at first think of. For instance he may ask you to park up somewhere safe, and if he notices you are looking for a single yellow line for instance which will allow you to park and are ignoring the white dotted spaces on the pavement which the Council have put there for you to park on, he will explain exactly why they are there, and why you should use them. He will give you a history of why things are the way they are. He will point out learned bad driving such as driving out into a main road from a side road when you spot your side is clear, this can fail you on a test if it ends up slowing down the traffic on either side. However so many drivers do this in London as its so congested that even many driving instructors do this and inadvertently or deliberately teach their students the same. I would highly recommend Bob Giles if you are serious not only about passing your test but being a safe long term driver on our roads. He will drill you in a friendly but serious manner and leave no stone unturned. He will explain to you why you should treat a parked car as a mountain bolder when doing the parallel park and how this makes doing the manoeuvre much easier. But I am not going to tell you how or that would spoil it for you.
