Rented for three and a half years. Bad ending

"We rented a three bedroom property through Drury and Cole for three and a half years. We had a few issues with the landlord but always dealt directly with him as it Drury and Cole did not manage our property. Once it came to our leaving things turned sour. We had issues with the landlord claiming not just our deposit but £2000 for things that we disputed as wear and tear. He had ever changing values (increasing of course and all verbal no receipts of proof ever produced) and had an elitist attitude towards us. Drury and Cole did not want to be involved and only jumped into action when we took this case to the T.D.S. Drury and Cole made it very clear that they did not want this to happen and that they totally support the landlord on this matter. They repeatedly asked to get quotes and prove our case (the onus is on the landlord if you understand the law). The landlord has chosen not to use the TDS and prefers the courts. He has not responded to the last two letters they sent him along with sending no particulars of the claim to date and we are waiting to hear that this case has been struck out. This company helped the landlord withhold our deposit for over 7 months. Needless to say we would not recommend them to anyone and would not use them again.
