David Drysdale qualified from the British College of Osteopathy in 1992.

He worked in New Zealand and North Yorkshire before returning to Glasgow in 1996.

David has continued to learn many new skills since qualifying.

David has studied Acupuncture & Trigger Point Therapy, Cranio-Sacral Osteopathy, Neural Manipulation & Visceral Osteopathy,
Bio-Mechanics & Ergonomics, Nutrition & Naturopathy, Yoga, Meditation & Relaxation Techniques.

He has gathered many techniques and principles from other fields.

In his spare time David likes Cycling, Field Archery, Yoga, Rock Climbing, Hill Walking, Cooking, Reading and generally trying to practise what he preaches.

Therapies

I use a number of therapies in my Practice, as people visit an Osteopath with many types of complaint.

I use a variety of therapies to treat each person to the best of my ability.

Some people do not like Osteopathic Manipulation and like a much gentler approach, while other people find Manipulation very therapeutic and request it as part of the treatment.

Where a chronic, muscular condition needs treatment, Deep Massage or Acupuncture will often be a more appropriate approach to treatment.

When a person has suffered a trauma such as Whiplash, Cranio-Sacral Therapy is the most effective approach. A person in severe pain will usually respond well to gentle treatment and is less likely to find treatment an ordeal.

Elderly and convalescing people also benefit from gentle Osteopathic Treatment, as do children.

Treatments are tailored for the patient. I like to discuss the various approaches and likely outcomes of treatment with a new patient.

Testimonials

I went to Dave firstly with a damaged shoulder. I was hardly able to move my arm more than 30 degrees in any direction. I had been to doctors then for X-rays and was told there was little that could be done to improve things except for getting "gold injections...steroid injections" every few months to help with the pain. Not something I was keen on. They called it tendonitis. Dave manipulated my shoulder for a number of sessions then did a few sessions of acupuncture work. The result after a few short months was that I now have complete mobility with no pain and no drugs..10 years later and still no problem. I have every confidence in Dave's ability and would be delighted to recommend him.
