The RICS have now released the new HomeBuyer Report and it is more customer friendly than before and the perfect choice for someone buying a home.E Surveyors are delighted to announce that we are now offering the new style report that includes condition ratings and a market valuation. Many of the larger corporate surveying companies have held back on the new report, but E Surveyors feel the customer will be far better off with the easier to understand survey.Make the most of the current property market and get a Homebuyer Report now on the house you want to buy and it will help you decide whether this is your dream purchase or another one to avoid. The RICS are launching the new Home Buyer Report on 1st July, 2009 and ESurveyors.com are keen to be involved from Day 1. The new format of the survey will include Condition Ratings and will be much more consumer friendly. With the ability to see at a glance where the biggest concerns are, a home buyer will be fully informed before progressing to buy their home. With the property market poised for a return to normality, property investors are already considering their options and do not want to miss any great opportunities. We cannot expect gazumping for the foreseeable future, but surely a point will come soon when a perceived rock bottom is reached and with the help of lenders wishing to trade again, prices should soon stabalise and confidence return. From an investors point of view, yields available on property are now at a far better position than they have been for some time and potentially much better than investing in a bank account at a low interest rate.Gary Edgar, MRICSOpinions stated in this blog, are my personal opinions and not necessarily the opinions of other RICS members. The best advice is always have a property surveyed by a Chartered Surveyor, regulated by the RICS and be aware that property prices can rise and fall.
Interest rates have been reduced to 1% and house price have seen an increase in January. Problem solved! Not quite... who really knows where prices are going to go next? The national press will give you all sorts of comment; negative and positive. Pick which one you want to believe, but most importantly, take calculated risks not an uninformed gamble. If you are going to buy a house, make sure you get it surveyed and ask for the surveyors honest view. A Chartered Surveyor can give you up to date information to help you make the right choice. Its a tough market, use your survey to negotiate a good price and reduce the risk of negative equity.Selling your home; ask a Chartered Surveyors estate agency to give you the correct advice from the start. Over price your house and it will stick and you will be forced to reduce and under price and you cannot increase later. Most important of all, get as much free advice as possible. Gary Edgar MRICS
