About

About us

The Edinburgh Larder have ventured into the countryside. We have joined forces with one of our favourite organic suppliers and are now running the café/restaurant at Whitmuir. Here you will find us doing what we love to do, which is to make use of as much local produce as possible and creating exciting and delicious food for our customers. Our menu as always reflects the seasons, always making the most of what is naturally available from month to month, and in this case, also enjoying the beautiful produce grown and reared at Whitmuir Farm.

Whitmuir is a great place for everyone to visit, whether it's for a family day out for a farm visit and hearty lunch, or a coffee and cake with friends, there's something for everyone. Our bread and cakes are freshly baked each day and the menu specials change daily so there's always something new and exciting to experience.

The Larder at Whitmuir is also an amazing place to hold events, whether it be a conference, a birthday party or your wedding, we can work with you to make your event something really special.

Testimonials

I loved this place ! We did book in advance but on a Tuesday in February at around 1pm it was fairly quiet . It is cool (which I like) and not too brightly lit (again I like that) We sat in a comfy booth downstairs and enjoyed the set lunch menu . I had a main of black pudding and poached egg on a spelt salad . All around yummy savoury dish. My daughter had the blue cheesecake with a pear and beet salad . The fresh, fruity and nutty salad complemented the cheesecake perfectly and it was a balanced meal in flavour, portion, did not feel too heavy to eat for lunch. We finished with brownies (to die for !!!!) and rhubarb ginger cheesecake . The food was fantastic as was the coffee (artisan roast) The service was friendly too!
