I've been to all the Indians in Windsor and this is by far and away the best. The lamb shank is a particular highlight. They treat you really well and the food is consistantly good. Highly recomended!

I along with my wife decided to go to Ilaichi restaurant of Windsor on 14 Oct 2008. Our decision was based mainly on the recommendations by people on the internet. We were received with warmth by Abu, the Manager who was helpful in resolving the car parking problem. The food was very delicious, well prepared and the way it was presented/served enhanced its taste. The overall friendly atmosphere in the restaurant was unique. I could feel it but can not put it in words. We recommend the Ilaichi restaurant to any one. We have all the intentions to revisit Ilaichi in the coming months.

This is a fantastic indian, in fact its possibly my favourite! I love it here. The ambiance of the place is fantastic and really comforting. The staff are also so friendly and will do anything to make your night memorable. The menu is diverse, as most indian menu's are, and has a massive choice for all tastes. There is even a good selection for vegetarians. The food here is cooked perfectly and you get a large amount for your money, which, is not a lot as they are really quite cheap. All in all this was a really good evening at a fantastic place!

We decided on Elaichi Windsor Indian Restaurant after a day out in Windsor at the races and a stroll along the river. We were greeted by the manager Abu at the door and from then onwards, the evening was more than I ever expected. The food was absolutely delicious, all prepared, presented and served to the highest of standards and the service was second to none. I would particularly recommend the Lamb Chop starter - truly amazing! I would whole heartedly recommend the Elaichi Windsor to anyone, friend or stranger and can safely say that I will be back again and again in the coming months!

It's situated off the main Windsor drag, tucked-away in what used to be referred to as the Windsor Village, on the corner of Grove Road and St Leonard's Road.Abu hails from Cornwall (but he may have been pulling my leg); he's a jovial character and always very eager to please. His wine list never disappoints and his staff are always very attentive. But the food! Oh it's just sublime. Abu delights in going 'off-piste' if you ask but his menu is very comprehensive. He's not cheap of course but very worth the investment!
