Elm Tree Gallery, The Old Bakery, Woolpit, for a relaxed shopping experience with helpful Staff on hand.

The Gallery is housed in a Tudor building c.1525 and is an emporium of unusual and attractive gifts, including the following:-
jewellery, (inc. Paula Bolton, Kazuri, Sea Gems, Siren Silver, Park Lane), scarves, bags, toiletries (inc. Woods of Windsor), locally produced West Lodge Pottery, Frith Bronzes, (Orchid designs) delightful enamelled boxes in animal and bird forms, photo frames, pill boxes, Hookies for bags, toys and games (inc. Jellycat, Fiesta Craft Puppets, House of Marbles, Orange Tree), stationery including decorative pens (Sea Gems) stationery.... and what is often described as one of the best collections of greetings cards in East Anglia - Lings, Spring Chicken, Green Pebble, Bug Art, Second Nature, Fitzwilliam Museum, etc.

Our aim is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, so we also serve tea, cofee and locally made cake, with one table inside and more seating outside weather permitting. There is also an excellent tearoom just over the road, so why not combine a visit to both of us!

History
Elm Tree Gallery is located in a Tudor house circa 1525 and was first recorded in 1575 as The Bull Inn. The Gallery was established in 1978 in the nearby village of Drinkstone and moved to Woolpit in 1987. We pride ourselves on a personal service to our customers. We have many visitors from afar who make a point ofregularly returning to us because of the unique and friendly ambience and excellent selection of gifts and greetings cards.
The village of Woolpit itself is well worth a visit with its fine Church of St Mary famous for its double hammer beam “angel" roof and pew ends. Woolpit is also well known for the well documented medieval legend of the Green Children - details of which can be found in the Gallery.
Just across the road from us is Woolpit Local History Museum, which is open Sat, and Sun. 14.30hrs – 17.00hrs from Easter weekend until the end of September. It includes an interesting display on brick making, which was a vey important trade in Woolpit for very many years.
In addition to our light refreshements there are also other excellent places in the village to eat and drink including The Swan and The Bull inns.
