He was formerly head of legal services at the Commission for Racial Equality Midlands & Wales Regions. He was the head investigator on the CREs formal investigation into race discrimination in HM Prison Service and headed the investigation into the death in custody of Zahid Mubarek in Feltham Young Offenders Institute. He was a visiting lecturer on the LPC at De Montfort University and a national adviser on employment law issues to the Citizens Advice Service. He has been involved in several high profile cases including the leading disability discrimination case on mental impairment; Dunham v Ashford Windows [2005]. Taqdir has also acted on behalf of a number of significant public sector bodies. In addition to pursuing and defending complex and sensitive cases he also provides in-house training and coaching to solicitors, advisers, and senior HR managers of the large/medium private/public corporations. He advises on general employment law and the avoidance and management of discrimination in all employment areas. He speaks and conducts training on employment and discrimination issues and has been widely published.
