Find us @ www.esdcs.org or on Facebook - ESDCS combat Ju Jutsu The U.K.E.S.D.C.S was created for instantaneous response to physical assault. It is a close combat fighting style designed to be free flowing for continuous multiple combination strikes using natural body movements incorporating fists, knees, elbows, feet etc. The training is very realistic and focused on ending the situation quickly against one or multiple assailants, incorporating kicks, throws, sweeps and evasive movements. The style combines JuJutsu, Karate, Aikido, Boxing and others - created by Sensei John Barrass 4th dan, who holds ratified dan grades (Black belt) in 4 arts and extensive experience in many systems of fighting. The club is an open and friendly place to learn to defend yourself, and currently has members of various ages and walks of life. www.esdcs.org

A brilliant system
Part of the reason ESDCS is such an effective system is that it isn't a martial art. While many of the techniques are from various arts, they're rarely in their original forms and are adaptive to be as effective as possible in a real, modern street fight, which very few other 'self defence' clubs offer. The system also includes mental and physical preparation to help overcome and control the fear and adrenaline of a real combat situation. Fantastic.

Defensive tactics for all
What we offer at our club is a no frills approach to street combat. Our ultimate goal is to give system practioners the tools to defend themselves in most situations. Age and fittness are unimportant as we can teach combative techniques to suit anyone's needs. I belive form is secondary to function and all techniques are taught to suit the needs of the student. During physical contact what are needed are high speed hard hitting but simple techniques that work when your under pressure, not complicated techniques that take many years to learn to an affective degree. Goshin Jutsu - traditional MMA
ESDCS that is taught at this club is basically MMA applied to the street. The techniques taught are just the beginning though, with conflict resolution etc to help keep you the right side of the law. Great for fitness and confidence, this is a club which suits "normal" people, with principles which work in all areas of life. I have trained in martial arts for 13 years, and this is definately the best club and instructor i have trained at/with.

Excellent for self protection
Sensei John - the head instructor is really down to earth and very open about what he teaches and why. You get to learn bits of Kickboxing, Karate, Ju Jutsu, Aikido and lots more. And what is best - it is tailored to your needs ! If you are looking for a new club - go and have a look !
