About

Welcome to Event Solutions

Our event management team will deliver event planning safety and logistics through a detailed running order for all crew, suppliers and of course the client. We will co-ordinate licensing, permissions, road closures, suppliers, caterers, production, set designers and entertainment on the day, and oversee build and breakdown of the event. We communicate and work closely with you to get your event 100% right, managing your expectations throughout the process and during the event.

From the opening of a corporate headquarters to an open-air concert to a sporting event, Event Management Solutions Ltd can save you time, money and many of the stresses concerns any organiser has.

Organising an event is not as simple as just finding a venue and hoping everything goes right. Have you thought about, licences, risk assessments, security, fire safety,

capacity, design, information, management, ingress, circulation, egress, transport, stewards, traffic management?The list can go on and on. A company event will take your staff away from the normal day's work for long periods and they may not have the skills and contacts to guarantee a successful event.

Who We Are

Event Management Solutions Ltd is headed up by Peter Young. Peter has had the pleasure of delivering many roles, from the event director of Mannifest to the safety officer at the filming of Belle. His diverse experience in all types of events ensures that each event runs smoothly and all the staff supplied are well briefed and deliver on our promises of personal service, delivered to the highest quality.

Outdoor

From 3 day festivals to visiting the Tower of Refuge to bringing the European market to Douglas, Event Management Solutions Ltd have played their part.

These type of events have a myriad of licensing, event safety groups, emergency services meeting all to be built into part of the planning ever before the delivery.

Filming

The film industry has an important role to play on the Island and Event Management Solutions Ltd can assist.

Health and safety – IOSH qualified staff can assist in a number of areas, from recce safety advice to providing safety officers on set, we will complete risk assessments, give advice and help the film industry specialist achieve what they need. We recognise what a fast moving dynamic industry this is and the pressures to deliver whilst on set so we can help you achieve results.

Locations and sets.

We can help with location managers, teams of people and they all have an attitude of helping achieve the end result. Many elements of location filming is simply that of any other event, traffic, logistics, safety, with our knowledge, ability to source equipment and sites we can provide a top class service to the industry.

Traffic

Having been head of roads policing, Peter has an invaluable insight into the issues on our Islands roads. Every event has a traffic impact, whether it is just getting the flow of cars in and out of your car parks, how traffic coming to your event will affect the roads for others, where will you park and how many cars can you get in, who runs your car parks, all this up to running an event on a public road, all need a very special set of skills. We can deliver everything, from the event and safety plans to putting the road closure in place on the day, to running car parks.

When you use a field for car parking the entrance can quickly become cut up and as a result we have brought to the Island the tracmat system of ground protection. Easily delivered and laid this has been used at many events across the Island. See our gallery above.

Training

Wherever you put a group of people, someone should have been asking ‘is it safe', ‘will they fit', ‘if something happens where are the exits', we all hope that everything will run smoothly but if not your event staff will have to take the lead. The only way of ensuring this will happen is by training. All your staff should be able to demonstrate they are competent in their event role and the only ways of doing this is through training, qualifications and experience.

Peter is an associate lecturer at the Emergency Planning College (Link) and specialises in crowd and spectator safety management. He recommends that full qualifications are obtained through the EPC portfolio, however smaller seminars, training sessions and practical exercises can be delivered in a cost effective way on the Island.
