Fallowfields Restaurant

Our food is imaginatively styled and presented as well as tasting fantastic -- and it is good for you - we are in the middle of a 5 year plan to achieve self sufficiency in our restaurant food. Our farm & our prolific, near-organic kitchen garden provide much of the ingredients on our menu. Our dining room is large, sunny and spacious -- and heated for those chilly winter nights. A private dining room is also available. The Restaurant is open every day of the week for morning coffees (with homemade biscuits and cakes), lunch (variety of Menus), traditional afternoon tea and Fine A la Carte Dinner. All cooked with passion for freshness and a desire to reduce food miles - so much so that we list food miles & food yards on our menu!

Fallowfields bedrooms

There are ten highly individual bedrooms to accommodate you, your family and friends - elegant, comfortable and beautifully appointed - they are as warm as your welcome. Our four-poster and luxurious king-sized beds (splittable) should afford you a restful sleep. All ten rooms have wonderful power showers and some have spa baths

This 300 year old hotel is set in 12 acres of mature trees and magnificent gardens and is an enticing and welcoming country retreat. The hotel is small and beautiful, 10 individual and luxurious bedrooms, enourmous beds, some with four posters. All rooms have TV,DVD and CD players (films and CD's from the hotels library are free) and you will receive complimentary mineral water, fresh-baked shortbread biscuits and facilities for tea and coffee making. Then there is the restaurant, which apart from winning 3 coveted RAC rosettes for the quality of its food and service and was described by one gourmet guide "as one of the best hotel restaurants in the county". Head Chef Adam Abbotts' cooking is delicious, both stylish and simply presented, using fresh local produce and home-grown herbs, fruit and vegetables from the hotels gardens. Breads are freshly baked and preserves are home-made. Fallowfields is a wonderful place to relax and there is plenty to see and do. The city of Oxford is a short drive away with its University, shopping, covered market and superb architecture. The hotel itself has plenty of interesting diversions, it has its own mews with resident Falcons, guests can watch them fly and take falconry lessons, you can also play croquet and tennis or golf on the championship course near by. Shooting, fishing and riding can also be arranged.
