I had lived in my house for 3 years at the time, and despite tackling the inside in terms of renovation, i could never focus on the garden and realised eventually that i would never be, 'green-fingered'. My sister and i both agreed the garden needed work, so i approached Jo and Anne and they started work in April 2014 with their initial survey. Over the following months, their design gradually came together. The weathered lawn was removed, landscaping was added in preparation for the planting and it was finished at the end of September. In the Spring and Summer of this year, my garden erupted into life.....the change in appearance can only be described as simply stunning. It has exceeded my expectations and i am over the moon with the result. Jo and Anne have a great eye for detail and really know how to produce a beautiful garden - it feels very mature already. I love sitting there in the evenings after work, and just contemplating in the silence, broken only by a few bees buzzing around the flowers, and the odd butterfly or two. Sadly, my sister died very suddenly last summer from a brain haemorrhage. It has been a very difficult time over the last year.....being able to sit out amongst the beautiful plants and flowers in my garden has given me an outside space now to be able to sit and think about her. I know she would be sitting right next to me of an evening if she could. My garden really is now a sanctuary for me. Thanks Jo and Anne.

Knowing nothing about gardening or what I really wanted, I found Jo Fenton attentive and sympathetic to my lack of ideas. She was skilful in drawing out what sort of things I like and admire and how these might be adapted to a London garden that is significantly shaded by a huge copper beech. Jo translated these ideas into a design for a woodland garden that was easy to imagine from the computer drawings. I felt that Jo was innovative about design and knowledgeable about planting. I was delighted by the end result and Jo, together with her partner, Anne Roberts kept me informed at every stage of the work, which was delivered on time and within budget.
