ABOUT FINNMARK

We at Finnmark believe that one's life is defined by the leisure time you have, not by your work. We firmly believe that the best way to enjoy your free time is with great company in a beautiful location in conjunction with the Nordic philosophy of 'Friluftsliv' - literally Free-air-life. However, this concept is not necessarily about living in the air, but more living for the air.

The Finnmark team are a family, passionate about encouraging friluftsliv, by bringing the British public a wide variety of high quality outdoor lifestyle products. The reason we look to follow the example of the Nordic countries, is that whilst everyone nowadays is aware of the benefits of an outdoor lifestyle, the British weather is rarely permitting! However, the Nordic people, some of the happiest people on the planet, manage to spend a fulfilling friluftsliv in weather far worse than ours in the UK.

It is our mission to share with our fellow Brits, the wonders of Scandinavian and Nordic lifestyle. We are dedicated to offering you everything that is required to live a gratifying outdoor lifestyle - sauna equipment, meat smokers, brick ovens, range cookers, and only quality products that meet our Endurance ethos.

ENDURANCE ETHOS:
The Finnmark Endurance ethos is that we choose to only stock quality products that will really last. We know that value for money is not about things being cheap, it's about having a durable and hard-wearing product that you won't have to replace time after time. It is our belief that the high quality products we sell should be sold once, at a fair price, and thus we do not sell products that will become obsolete or deteriorate rapidly and need to be thrown away. Many of our products can be used and treasured for a lifetime, and then again by your children and grandchildren! Our Endurance ethos is inspired by Nordic practical thinking, environmental awareness and a love for well designed quality products.

UK BASED...
Finnmark Ltd is a family run business and in order to practice what we preach by living a friluftsliv lifestyle, we are based near Penrith, Cumbria, overlooking the beautiful Lake District Fells. We have also found this enables us to best serve the whole United Kingdom, from Lands End to John o'Groats, Dover to Derry.
