Welcome to the Bridgwater First Class Learning Centre. Centre manager Rachel Holdom has been running highly successful after-school maths and English classes for over 16 years. The FCL programme follows the UK National Curriculum and supports children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.

About Us

Students of all ages attend our study centre once a week on a Tuesday at Trinity Sports and Leisure, Chilton Street, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 3JA. We cater for learners from Early Years and primary through to GCSE and adult students.

Our expert tutors support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills. The FCL programme is supported by Dyspraxia Foundation as well as being run in many schools throughout the UK.

Our Services

Our English and maths programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.

How does it work

The First Class Learning Centre (FCL) Tutor will complete a free assessment which will determine your child's curriculum level and the features of FCL will be explained with any questions answered.

If all parties agree that FCL is right for you, your child can start attending classes and gaining the benefits of FCL study which involves regularly, weekly attendance at the centre.

Here they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Tutor. Your child will be given a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
