Who we are

Welcome to the Finchley North First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.

Students of all ages attend our study centre at the Trinity Church Centre in N12. We cater for learners from Early Years and primary through to GCSE and adult students.

Our fully trained and expert tutors support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills.

Our English and maths programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.

How does it work?

The First Class Learning Centre (FCL) Manager will complete a scheduled assessment which will determine your child's curriculum level and the features of FCL will be explained with any questions answered. This process is designed to highlight any key areas of weakness that need to be addressed immediately. The centre manager can then tailor a beskpoke programme of learning for your child

If all parties agree that FCL is right for you, your child can start attending classes and gaining the benefits of FCL study which involves regularly attendance at the centre.

Here they will complete a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Tutor. Your child will be given a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.

If you think that FCL might be right for you please contact Shamim Rahim (Centre Manager) and arrange for an assessment. The Costs are: Single subject: £50 (monthly). Double subject (English & maths): £85 (monthly). Assessment is £20 per child. The only other cost is a fully refundable £50 deposit.

You will then be able to find out how your child can become one of the growing number in the UK enjoying success with First Class Learning.

Shamim is fully trained and qualified to deliver the First Class Learning study programmes. Every First Class Learning tutor holds an enhanced DBS certificate (CRB).
