The Peterborough South First Class Learning Centre is run by Ruth Ekblom.

Ruth is fully trained and qualified to deliver the First Class Learning study programmes. Every First Class Learning tutor holds an enhanced DBS certificate (CRB).

Who we are

Welcome to the Peterborough South First Class Learning Centre. We support children and adults in the local community with both maths and English tuition.

Students of all ages attend our study centre at the Hampton Vale Community Centre in PE7. We cater for learners from Early Years and primary through to GCSE and adult students.

Our expert tutors support your child's learning in maths, English or both subjects together in order to help with their school studies, build confidence and develop independent learning skills.

Our English and maths programmes are tailored to learners' individual needs so students move on only when they are confident with a topic. At First Class Learning we believe in 1% steps to 100% success.

How does it work?

The First Class Learning Centre (FCL) Tutor, Ruth Ekblom, will complete a free assessment which will determine your child's current curriculum level. She will explain the features of FCL and how it is run in Peterborugh South.

If you, your child and the FCL Tutor agree that FCL is appropriate for your child, your child willbe invited to attend classes at the Peterborough South Centre. They can immediately begin gaining the benefits of FCL study. Attendance involves regular sessions at the centre.

While at the Peterborough South FCL Centre, each child completes a short piece of work which will be marked, returned and discussed with the Tutor. Your child is given a detailed programme of homework to be completed before the next class.
