fish and chips after swimming at fishy moore's was a standard experience in Coventry for the majority of kids, having just finished a hard slog in the pool or a laugh and joke with your mates larking about nothing smelt or tasted better after wallowing in chlorine for so long than the salt and vinegar wafting from this chippy. The old fishy moores was a place you knew you were going to get a decent bag of fish and chips, unfortunately this went after the redevelopment of the area, Mores disappeared for a bit and then reopened in some obscure and strange location on the edge of the city centre, I never ate their and for good reason, the price and the decor, to pay over 6.50 for fish and chips and to sit in a green plastic cafe from the 70's was to much for me and I never liked the look of the food I saw when going past, latest news is they are going to close down as they cannot afford to run the place anymore, its a shame but at the prices they were charging and the quality of the food, plus location, it was always going to happen.

Awesome Fish & chips ..Great food ..The service is a bit like a cross between Mrs Bouqet(Mrs Bucket) and Fawlty towers(Basil Fawlty)...A great old fashioned experience!

I went and had a meal at Fishy Moores, they do some 'meal deals' there, £4.99 per meal, they also have fish available which seems quite expensive but as I don't like fish I wouldn't have paid anything for it anyway. Apparently the fish isn't as expensive as I thought it was. The service was efficent and friendly, the staff were polite and hospitible. The food itself was lovely, I had chicken tikka wrap, it wasn't too hot or too spicy, it was just right, I also had onion rings, the onion rings were cooked to perfection. The only critiscism I have is the customer toilet, basically because there seems to only be the one toilet on the premises, having said that it was clean.
