My name is Silvija and I run “Five Star Cakes" from my kitchen in Plymouth. Cakes were always my passion. My 2 years of research and hard work were successful. I created or improved 15 delicious cake recipes I want to share with you.
I use variety of decoration techniques, including hand painted photos, sugar models, sugar flowers, 3D figures and more. My cakes can be made to almost any shape,size and design, with icing or without. Sugar flowers, figures and icing are homemade(my special recipe), they hold shape in fridge and are tasty. No wires in flowers, all decorations and colours are edible. No chemicals are used to preserve cakes. I only bake and decorate by hand to order specifications to guarantee freshness, use quality products.

Cakes

All cakes are multi layered (minimum 4-5 layers of sponge and filling),also they are never dry.They are moist and fresh up to 5 days if you keep them in the fridge.Cakes are very delicate,they absorb the smell of other products.To avoid this wrap the food that smells(meat,fish,chicken..) or remove it from the fridge.

They are free from artificial flavours or preservatives. I use only the finest ingredients available. Also they can be made nuts free if you have allergy to nuts. Five Star Cakes is fully insured and registered food premise with full hygiene certifications and has “excellent 5 stars" scores rating.

Prices and Deposits

The recipes contain different ingredients, because of that the price can vary.For example, 10 inch round plain cake will cost £26-£32, or £28-£34 (10 inch square). The price depends on what shape, size, flavour and appearance you want an amount of time to make cake. 10 inch round cake weights 2.2-2.5kg, square about 2.7-3kg.The cake size starts from 4inch (10 cm) up to 14-16inch (35-40 cm). Please, order 1-2 weeks before celebration,1-2 months before wedding. I ask for non-refundable deposits: celebration cake £20, wedding cake £50, rest of the money on collection day. You may pay by online bank transfer, Paypal, cash or cheque (allow 5 working days to clear). Please make sure you have contacted me before paying deposit to ensure I can meet your requirements.Thank you.
