One such instance was in a 1930’s office block in central London. It was covered period parquet blocks, but an area of 40sq ft was missing. Despite our efforts, we were unable to find any matching blocks in London.
So we went further afield - and eventually identified the right blocks from the demolition of an old mews building in Nottingham.
They were double the thickness, but after being cut in half, laid and treated with three coats of hard wax oil… the results were outstanding.
