Fusion Studios is Manchester's leading photographic makeover studio offering a range of photo shoots and pamper packages to spoil our clients and ensure we reach beyond their expectations. Fusion Studios has been trading for 10 years with over 40 staff, so get in touch to find out how we can help.
My partner has been to them today, they called her up trying to sell her the photo shoot session deal, pay £5 deposit get the make-up and hair done then have some shots and promised on the call a free photo and money off further photo's sounds good. My partner asked for a date we could certainly make but then the call turned to high pressure sales tactics, we are in the middle of moving home and its our daughters 3rd birthday next week needless to say a busy time, they refused to let her book it for next month it had to be a certain time that suited them or she couldn't have the offer or free photo etc. She ended up accepting it and did regret it as she was stressed enough without having to goto the shoot but then when she wanted to cancel they they would charge £75 for each person which we could ill afford at this time of year with everything going on. Anyway she went and had a horrible experience, this free photo and with no obligation was a lie, no free photo, no discount to other photo's etc. So my partner said ok then we wont have any they then threatened charging etc she explained she didnt have the money to buy multiple photos at their price, they kept quoting the whole verbal contract thing (even when we pointed out that the verbal contract should also obligate them to provide what they promised, and if they had the call recorded they should listen to it and make good on their word). All said and done she ended up getting some photo's for £20 per shot but they are not above piling on pressure and threats to get money out of you. They didn't even give a receipt for those pictures. We just called the bank and cancelled the card so they are issuing another one, they wont be taking any money that we have not agreed to. If you do deal with them then tread carefully, be aware of their charges and record any call's where anything is agreed. Personally I would steer clear of this company as they don't seam interested in anything than trying to milk you for everything they can and to be damned with customer service. To the fusion staff that do seam to be on this site yes I did sign up to this site today purely to express our views on the bad experience we have had. If you want our details to contact us if you want to investigate the poor service you have given then feel free to email me at drefsab (at) gmail.com and I will be happy to give them to you and look forward any explanation to the treatment my partner received

This was the worst day of my life, firstly i was there for about 7 hours and 5 and half were from waiting. Then after hussling me out of £110 deposit i then went home and recived a call from my bank informing me that fusion studios had made two futher attempts to take another £50 out, lucleky enough they refused to aurtharised. After contacting fusion i had to listen to abuse from young lady who said they had everyright to go into there records and take my card details to take another payment i was charged £550 for 10 pictures i also payed for airbrush that wasnt done all in all they cost me a fortune and i could of done them better myself

I gave them one star because you couldn't give zero. They pressure you to buy stuff you don't want, they put me in a shared studio for a boudoir photo shoot and their stylist straightner burned my scalp. Photos took a month to arrive, I was promised 3 days. When I complained the manager didn't care. They don't give you an outfit consultation like they say on the website.

I visited Fusion with my Mum recently with a Wowcher voucher and from the start the staff were very helpful and so friendly. When i booked the appointment the lady on the telephone was very helpfu, and answered all my questions and explained everything to us. When we arrived the staff couldnt do enough, our make up and hair was fantastic, we dont normaly wear much make up but we looked great and they gave us lots of tips to use at home. Our photoshoot was amazing nad we had a mixture of pictures taken together and some on our own also and they were amazing and they looked even better when they done some amazing effects on the computers and i thought for the quality of the pictures that the prices were very reasonable. Overall it was a great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I have recccomended all my family and friends and would do it all over again myself :0)

Went with my daughter; whole experience lasted 4 hours, with a lot of waiting time in between, photos looked OK, but the technician selling them to us was rude and unhelpful. A lot of pressure to buy the packages for £999 - £3999. In actual fact, the lady on phone before we booked (I had rung her twice - Sue) had made what turned out to be a lot of false promises. She said prices for a photo would start from £25.00 a photo on CD, but we would discuss individual requirements on the day. The technician on the day insisted that one photo would be £120, but wanted to sell us the packages for £299 for 6 photos at least or up to £1999 for all 62!!!! When I told her that is not in line with what we were advised on the phone, she practically accused me of lying, saying she knows exactly what their people in the office are saying and that is not what they do!!! Unbelievable. I should have walked away at that point, but my daughter would have been so disappointed, so went for 5 photos in the end at £200. I feel totally ripped off. Do not go, apart from anything else, the whole salon looks a bit aged and worn out by now, could do with a make over itself, which shouldn't be too difficult for them to afford with the prices they charge...

It did not reach my expectations at all! Not to be recommended, not at least to my friends which i really love!

The whole experience was hopeless! The make up and hair doing girls were nice, but they work as in a factory. Looking around me, we all (the customers) looked the same, as if that's all they can do. The photoshoot was ok but the wait to see the pictures was outrageos! I was sitting for ONE hour, really waisting my time because i wasn't able to even take home half of the pics taken, actually i went home with only two, not because im a poor person but because im a realistic down to earth person with a family with two children. For the ridiculous amount of money they ask for the pictures, i can buy food for my children for three months! I ended up buying those two pictures for the price of £50 and still feel robbed! If you still are going to go, at least you know what to expect but if i was you i wouldn't go at all! The whole experience is supposed to last about 4 hours, that is counting the time they give you to fill a book with your friends numbers, offering on exchange a bag of cheap prizes and also depending on how many numbers you give them (a minimum of 15 contacts to get a mini mini, tiny bottle of "champagne" that you can buy in tesco for $2.50, dont give them any of your friends numbers). It is also including in the 4 hours experience the wait to see the pics as i said before: 1 whole hour.....! Very poor experience! Very unprofessional! Hopeless!

Seriously, all these bad reviews are very real, i agree with all of them because i had exactly the same bad experience, it would have been great if i've read them before. I can't believe someone is writing something good about it, it must be a fake review, you know, a one made up by themselves just to compensate for all the terrible ones. Do not go there, and if you do, you'll find yourself on the same situation as we all are! Be aware that there is not free picture at all, and if you really love your pics and cant help them to buy them, be ready to pay £50 for just 2 of them which is their better deal. Very unprofessional! The great robbery of the century!

I went to Fusion studios last week with my sister & niece & had a brilliant day. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel very welcome, the staff are really friendly. We had our hair & makeup done by the stylists who were lovely (and i got some tips on my hairstyle & skin treatments :) Then we were taken up to the studio for our photoshoot, the photographers were brill, guiding us on our poses & putting me at ease when i was getting my lefts & rights all muddled up lol it was a laugh. Then we got to view our images which i can honestly say were amazing. The ladies in the viewing room are really helpful & very patient :) as i am very indecisive & found it hard 2 choose from sooo many wonderful pictures. Lots of people have said that the prices are expensive but i was more than happy to buy a package & was able to pay monthly on 0% interest rate.considering everything that is done on the day & the pictures are amazing,it is well worth it. i even got a goody bag with more bucks fizz & makeup when we were leaving.I would highly recommend Fusion Studios to anyone & can honestly say i will be going back again.

Both me and mum went for a pamper day at Fusion Studios, we bought the vouchers from Ideal World TV. Even though the studios were really busy that day we we made to feel really special. Makeup looked great, hair looked even better and photos were really good. We bought 3 extra photos and were given some lovely makeup to take away. Just such a fab day. x

Day to remember!! I just wanted to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Fusion Studios in Manchester. My daughter booked an appointment for me to receive a makeover as I had been experiencing some bad health and had been feeling a bit run down after my recent operation. I was made to feel really pampered, the staff were very polite and accommodating and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. They did my hair and Make-up excellently (I could hardly recognise myself) I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone young or old. I was so impressed by the photos that I decided to buy a few more as I wanted to give a few copies to my daughter and grandchildren aswell. Wonderful!

I turned 40 [ yes I know! Scarry!] last week and went along to Fusion with 3 friends for the day. We travelled from Newcastle and arrived at about midday. My friends called ahead, I had no idea, and asked for a cake and bottle of bubbly to be ready for my arrival. We walked in and there were lit candles on the cake and cold bubbly - beat that for a great reception! We got friendly with all the staff and spent ages saying goodbye to everyone we met. ten out of ten, and I promised I would write a good review. Thanks guys! xx

I went with my friend, who invited me, and we had a great time. staff were inviting and friendly, make up and photography was professional and all in all I had an enjoyable time.

Myself and a friend went last week and had a great time. The staff were really friendly and polite. We went and had our make up and hair done then went in and had some photo's taken. We had a real laugh with the photographer, i am quite shy but he made me feel really comfortable and guided me on how to pose. We had several costume changes and even got to take some photo's outside. We had a slight wait then we went to see our photo's. They were amazing. We both got a package so we got all our photo's on disk. I must admit they are expensive, but well worth it. Overall we had a brilliant time and would definitely go again.

Well i went to fusion studio's recently with my best friend and had a fantastic time. We purchased a voucher from groupon and we recieved everything........the receptionist Daryl was very friendly when we got there we both got UNLIMITED bucks fizz and were well looked after. We then went through to the make up bit all the girls were really friendly and helpful, yes they were talking between them but they included us in the conversation and they were lovely, i looked great. when we went into have our pics taken the lady doing my pics was really helpful. as i'm quite self concious and dont really like having my picture taken she really made me feel at ease. she took some amazing pics and i have to say i did look fantastic. when we got to see our pics the girls again were really friendly and helpful and we did purchase some of our photo's and for the quality and the way they made me look they were well worth the money. Since attending Fusion Studios at beginning of May with my daughter, I have been waiting for my deposit to be returned (£50). Despite numerous (now up to 12) phone calls no deposit gas been received. Trading Standards is my next hope. Beware.

Purchased the deal from Groupon for £10 each for my daughters which was supposed to include: 80 shot photo shoot, champagne reception with refreshments, hair & make-up, mini facial (cleansing, toning moisturising treatment), hand massage, and a 10"x8" print of your chosen image. You need to pay a booking fee of £25 which is supposed to be refundable, but there are a lot of conditions attached. What we received: had to wait half an hour upon arrival (arrived on time for appt, but made to wait). Had to ask for refreshments (options were tea, coffee, hot chocolate that tasted like chocolate flavoured water, or bucks fizz, and a few custard cream biscuits---NO champagne), One person did the hair and make-up, mini facial and hand massage---this was the best part as she was pleasant and did a lovely job. Bit more waiting for the photographers to arrive. Taken to the studio upstairs. Given the opportunity to change into up to 4 outfits for the photoshoot---had about 6 backgrounds to choose from, and used most of them. Photographer was good and got some good shots, but it happens very quickly. Long wait in reception area as the photos are checked over before we view. During this time, were offered free upgrade upon purchase of images and a goody bag if we could provide names and phone numbers of friends who might be interested in a photoshoot. Gave 60 names and received 5 extra images, some make-up (had choice of mini bottle of bucks fizz and a shot glass as well instead of some of the make-up), and a couple of vouchers (one for paintball and the other for a special priced pampering day). Went into the viewing room. Felt rushed as we had to narrow our choices down from about 60 shots (not 80) to few favourites. Now the hard sell. Pressure to purchase. 1photo £75 (but this is free as it's included in our Groupon purchase), 6 individual shots £299 (would not allow us to combine by choosing 3 of each of our girls), 10 shots £549 (allowed us to combine, so we chose this one with 11 shots of each and 5 of the ones taken together---the 5 was the free ugrade), etc up to the max package which was all of the photos for £999. The photos were really good, so it made it hard to decide, but the technician rushed us a bit and said she had others to do, so we were under pressure. Required to pay a deposit on the day (credit / debit card or cash), then first payment was chosen for about 3 weeks time (they took it after 2 weeks, so not happy), then monthly direct debit for the balance over 6 or 12 months (they charge £30 for this service). Keep an eye out as there's a £30 charge on top for any late / missed payments. Whole experience lasted about 5 hours. Received the images on a blank cd. They don't print photos there, so choice for the free print would've been a low resolution image on cd to take on the day, or print in the post. Slight problem with the images we received, as half of them are in a lower resolution, so not so good for cropping and blowing up. The technician assured us it would be fine to crop and enlarge as we please since the images are high resolution, so I've emailed and phoned Fusion Studios a few times, but haven't received a reply yet. I'll have to go there and see if they'll rectify the situation. The girls really enjoyed it, and the images are good, but we're not entirely happy about the hard sell and lack of customer service.
