Perfect afternoon tea!
I have never actaully stayed at this hotel, but often recomend it for family or friends and they have always raved about it. We have been for afternoon tea or morning coffee and it has always been lovely. Service is great, quick and friendly. Food is also nice, a bit stuffy at times but generally nice for older relations especially. Great location, close to town and all that Stamford has to offer. Also near to antiques centre which is excellent for having a look to find bizarre old things! I know several people who have had their wedding parties here and they have always been lovely. Nice setting and photos are very pretty. Locally renowned as one of the best hotels to stay and eat at and we have always been pleased.

Gorgeous Hotel/Restaurant/Pub
The staff was exemplary and I have rarely felt so welcome (outside of the major hotel chains like The Ritz and Waldorf).I was travelling with a buddy of mine who happens to be British and he suggested we stop in Stamford for a pint. I ended getting us both rooms at this place because I was flabbergasted at what a great place it was/is!The pub is brilliant with some beautiful ladies tending the bar and an oustanding quality of people attending. Not for a "night out on the piss" though. The country gentry are in force and ponce it up a bit. DEFINITELY a brilliant place to take a lady friend out for a wonderful dinner or a weekend in the country!Cheers,Sean
