I Have My Hair Back!!!!!!!!!

Service

After undergoing chemotherapy I lost all of my hair. I went into Gerards looking to have my wig cut (yuk) and came out with hair extensions so natural that no one can tell I have them! My hair looks like it did before I went into CHEMO!!!!! I hope no one reading this ever has to go through chemo but getting back your looks is as important as getting back your health and leaving the nightmare behind! The price of £295 was a bargain and the work flawless! I'm still in shock of what they can do in this place! They also have a make up artist whos brilliant! Its just a feel good sort of place with happy employees.

Fantastic Friendly Salon

This salon has gone through a change of ownership this last year and the new owner has completely re structured it. They are doing a lot of work with cancer patients and seem to be gettting a lot of press and awards. They showed me a scrap book which was quite impressive, they've been in a lot of the glossys! I thought it was a fantastic place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The staff is very down to earth and VERY experienced. I went in for the first time, in a bit of a panic, with a nightmare of my own creation (I coloured my own hair at home with very bad results) and came out with fantastic hair and the best cut I have EVER HAD! The price was explained to me before work began. I was offered products but there was no pressure to buy them. I had such a good laugh with the girls who all seem to work together very well. Price wise I thought they were middle of the road. I quoted other salons on the same street and they were considerably higher but Im sure if I went to Croydon I could get cheaper. Overall, a very good experience and I would encourage anyone to give it a try!

Expensive and crappy place

I had similar experience with that Lisa before, first she said highlights about £70 but when finished I had to pay £110 due to the length of my long hair (it's just covered my neck, hardly long). I complaint to the owner Gerard and he didn't care. Don't go near there, this place is a con! Gerard's daughter used to work there before but left already so it's not a family run biz anymore. The girls all hate his daughter and how Gerard separate with his wife, how they hate the chinese people from the chinese restaurant next door...so much annoying gossips!

I had my hair coloured 2 weeks ago and it went really well. The stylist Lisa recommended their straightening/de-frizz treatment to me cos I want to make my hair straight, she said it's £120 and I thought it's ok. Had it done last week and when I pay at the counter, she said it's £174 - £12 each for shampoo and conditioner and the treatment £150! I reminded her she said it's £120 not £150. She just shrugged and said £120 is for short hair, £150 for long hair (my hair is shoulder length). I followed their instructions of the after care and washed my hair after 4 days, my hair are now wavy and it's not that smooth/de-frizz like what they said, and definitely not straight. I went back to the salon and spoke to the boss Gerard, he said I need to speak to the stylist Lisa and she's only 10 yards away with a client, she could just have a quick word with me, she overheard everything and instead pretended she's not there. I told Gerard about the confusing charges, his reaction was his stylists charge whatever they wants even he's the boss but he doesn't control it. I told him it would be nicer if she could just told me it's £150 for my (long) hair and I would still got it done anyway. He just took me to look at the sign outside his salon and said "See, it said £120 '''''up'''''! are you saying we robbed you?" So I paid almost £180 (plus tips, so regretted now) for this expensive treatment and I didn't get what I wanted and they don't want to know anything about the problems now, not even an apology and just walked away. I will never go back again, I don't like people are so irresponsible and dishonest.

a family run business with professional and friendly staff, who do their job well. I was really pleased with both Zoe and Lauren and would recommended them to friends.
