Based in Sheffield our prime goal is to provide work of the highest quality to our customers who range from the general public to large commercial organisations. As tree surgeons we offer sound and honest advice on the many and diverse projects undertaken by our clients. We strive to raise awareness of the importance of trees in our landscape in today's environment.

Our work ranges from small domestic jobs to site clearance. Gibson Tree Services have many regular customers, some of whom we are pleased to have worked alongside for over a decade. At the commercial level customers include building firms, asset management companies and community organisations.

The Boss

Variously known as 'Aussie Jon', 'Gibo' or 'The Boss', Jon Gibson is hard to miss in his Unimog truck with the big chipper on the back and Eli and Roger the border terriers navigating in the passenger seat. Jon reckons he enjoys the outdoors and working with machinery, and so feels priviliged to operate a business which fits who he is.m He says that 'Gibson Tree Services prides itself on an honest and genuine approach to work'.

Pricing is offered for free and without obligation. The cost of a job will depend on a number of factors and so it is necessary to visit the site and speak to the customer in order to best meet their needs and the needs of the environment. If conservation issues apply, we can advise and assist with this process.

Jon Gibson is a qualified tree surgeon with over 20 years experience in arboriculture. Jon is very experienced with a range of tools and machinery, and the business is appropriately equipped for the range of services it offers. Gibson Tree Services has operated in the Sheffield area for over a decade and is fully insured. We use Personal Protective Equipment and carry out our work in accordance with industry standards, safe work practices and all aspects of Health and Safety Law. For commercial customers, method statements and risk assessments can be provided on request.

Hedge Work

Gibson Tree Services provides a professional hedge cutting service specialising in high and wide hedges. We work in a systematic fashion using appropriate tools and are renowned for finishing for a quality clean up.

Tree Work

We are well versed in listening to customer needs and will spend time ensuring that we know what is required. Advice can be given regarding tree health and conservation issues. We apply safe logical practices to our tree work and have experience reducing and dismantling trees in difficult locations.

Site Clearance

Gibson Tree Services is an experienced provider of efficient site clearance services. Equipped with a range of tools and a high capacity chipper with off-road capabilities, we are well positioned to carry out larger scale work. We will travel outside the Sheffield area where viable. Our company insurance (public liability) is set at £5M. Our company works to industry standards and can provide method statements and risk assessments on request.
