Wanted to buy a few appliances for my new kitchen and glotech came up one of the cheapest. At first I doubted them but a quick call to them and a friendly gentleman helped me to place the order with them. Appliances arrived a week later.

Lovely showroom staff

I visited the showroom today and was very pleased by the efforts of a young guy. He answered my questions and for those he couldn't he looked them up. I ended up buying a washing machine with free 5 years warranty and booked in delivery for the next day. Overal lovely experience.

Found Glotech on a price comparison website. Hadn't heard about before but had a very good experience. Person on phone was very friendly and helpful and found out some product information for me. Delivery came in just over a week but was kept well informed. Will consider using them again in the future

Dishwasher repair

I set up an online appointment after our dishwasher broke down. I identified the fault, the heating element had gone. My first call from Glotech was to tell me the appointment was cancelled! I rand and very assertively complained and got a technician to visit as originally booked. The technician told me the pump was gone as the pressure was 'low' (as well as the broken heating element). This was incorrect. The pump was working fine - we bought this model three years ago as it was ultra-quiet (we run it at night) and it was working like it always has done. I was told that its a three week wait for the pump so I may as well buy a new dishwasher from Glotech and get half the £69 back! So, I am £69 poorer and still without a dishwasher! All in all, never again!

I don't have the time to write the list of the incompetent evetns that have taken place with this company over the last 3 weeks! It's taken me 4 days to get my money back from the initial call out (where I had to pay someone to come and tell me I need a thermostat - which is EXACTLY what I told them on the phone in the first place!) The things just went from bad to worse! Nobody knows what's going on and there never seems to be a manager there. the "customer service" is non-existent and I didn't get as much as an apology - in fact, the staff were extremely rude!! Don't touch this company with a barge pole!!!!

Broken freezer compartment to fridge, visit booked for next day, was told part needed ordering with manufacturer, was told full payment would be needed to order the part and i would receive call back when the part became available. Despite calling and chasing four times, each time being told we'll check and call back, there were no call backs. Two weeks later, I was finally told that they're not sure if part was ever actually ordered and the boss is on holiday so they can't check for another week until he gets back. Asked for refund as I was in desperate need of a working freezer (6 week old baby), and so I could source elsewhere, and was told no, can't do it, no one here can, you'll have to wait til the boss gets back from holiday. Staff incredibly rude, unpleasant and unhelpful on each and every conversation - in summary, I will never use them again. Finally, the part arrived weeks later and were fitted, glotech were again completely unapologetic.

Poor service, avoid !!!

Booked a repair for fridge freezer with Glotech. Following visits of 3 different engineers, exchange of a PCB, which did not affect or fix the problem at all, 3 weeks down the line and having paid over £160, our fridge freezer is still not working. The third call-out visit booked for the afternoon was cancelled on the day, last minute because the engineer was too busy and still on his morning jobs (this was just before Easter). No further appointment available untill a week later due to lack of engineers covering the area. (Their website claims they aim to come out within 24 hours!!) The service has been poor with unhelpful and often unfriendly helpline staff. Poor communication, promises of call-backs never happened, no reply or response to a written complaint. Having to constantly chase them without real success of getting a swift resolution. Poorly organised team and communication within the team - every time I called i was told the repair job was finished and closed. No continuity or ownership for repair jobs (a different engineer EVERY TIME). Now allegedly it's a compressor fault which will cost more to repair than a new fridge (after paying £160 for nothing!). I wish I hadn't bothered with Glotech and can NOT recommend this service at all.

They haven't even set foot in my house yet and it's a travesty. Booked a service call on Friday via the website for today, confirmed by email. Today received a call, they didn't pick up the booking on their own system, don't have enough engineers, were abducted by aliens. Can they come tomorrow pm instead. Not happy as I have 4 children and my incontinent mother living with me, but what can I do? An hour later, they can come in the morning. Still not today as booked, but ok. Have now just received another call, it's back to the afternoon or a different date. I feel so messed about. I have children on holiday and would like to be able to go out with them. I've asked the manager to call me back, but looking at other comments I don't suppose that's going to happen.

Repair to Oven

My oven has been waiting 3 months now for Glotech to complete repairs. Their service engineer was very good but overstretched. Once the oven had to go into the shop the service nosedived. The initial repair was slow to be completed and done improperly. The oven had to be returned and is now still unfinished despite being paid for! I also find the customer service to be poor and the lack of priority given to such an overdue obligation sloppy and unprofessional. I am fed up waiting for completion and am recovering my oven from them (do not wait for them to come to you!) and taking it somewhere else. I shall also demand my money back. I can not recommend this service at all.

The engineer came out and repaired my dishwasher. Several pipes had been blocked by hard water/food causing it to leak. The engineer was polite and efficient. It wasn't too expensive I would definitely use them again.

Repair to Oven

The Glotech customer service has been terrible on the repair to my oven. There have been broken promises of call backs, no decent information being passed and we still have no working oven. We have been waiting on a repair to our oven for over a month and the delay has been caused by a lack of technicians and the wrong part being ordered. There has been no urgency and has required constant chasing to make sure something was being done about it. The biggest issue was that no one seemed to care or take ownership to get the problem resolved which has probably led to it taking a lot longer to get fixed! They might be good if everything is available and in stock but as soon as there is a problem they just weren't able to handle it. I would not recommend them at all if you need something done quickly.
