Golden Lion Hotel Accommodation

A well-located base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Golden Lion has 15 en-suite rooms and a restaurant with extensive menus. There is a lift to all floors, and many rooms have been specially adapted for disabled guests. The Hotel is noted for its freshly prepared food of local origin.

The Golden Lion restaurant is decorated with Dales murals by local artist Lynn Foster, and offers both A la Carte and Table d'Hote menus. Vegetarian and other diets are well catered for. There is an extensive wine list. The Hotel also has a banqueting suite for events and conferences.

The Golden Lion is well placed for local attractions such as Bolton Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, Jervaulx Abbey (right), Masham with its Brewery Centres, and Richmond with its castle high above the River Swale. York, Harrogate and Ripon are easily reached.
