Grange Driving School Ltd was founded 28 years ago by Mick and Jacqui Beadle in Main Street Willerby from where it still operates today under the ownership of Richard & Joanne Swatman. Although motor technology has changed the operating policy remains the same.
We offer Intensive or Semi-intensive courses in the vehicle categories shown on the left, with a test guaranteed on completion. Click on the category you are interested in for more information.
Each lesson is either one full hour or multiples of hours; we do NOT pick up the next pupil before dropping off the current pupil. All our instruction is strictly one to one. Our instructional cars belong to the school so our instructors do not shorten a lesson by parking up and talking for a long time in an attempt to save expense. You pay for an hour – and you get an hour. We fully understand the aspirations of new potential drivers, and are in tune with any age group.
Driving tuition in cars (Automatic & Manual) Trucks(C1) , Minibuses (D1) and Trailers/Caravans (B+E)

A family owned business, we are big enough to cope and small enough to care. We offer high quality 'one to one' driving tuition from our team of vastly experienced instructors, who have over 75 years combined experience.

I was offered a job with the Ambulance service but I had to gain C1 entitlement on my license before starting. I only had a matter of weeks to gain the entitlement, so as you can imagine I was getting a bit stressed. I contacted Grange Driving School and spoke to Mike Beadle. I told Mike my situation and later he called me back with a date for the test and lessons for the following week. A number of driving schools had told me I couldnt take a test before August, which would be too late. Mike took all the stress out of it for me. I took a number of lessons with Mike who was great, I always felt at ease whilst learning with him. I passed my test on the 27th and am starting my training to be a Paramedic on the 14th. The support and enthusiasm I recieved from Mike and Richard Swatman was great and I would deffinately reccommend them.

I was offered a position with the Ambulance service, however I had to achieve my C1 entitlement on my driving license within a matter of weeks. I contacted a number of driving schools including Grange. Grange driving school was the most re-assuring and helpful in my time of great stress. Mike Beadle who is an instructor with Grange driving school, completely understood my situation and later that day contacted me with a test date and lessons. I passed my driving test 27th July and I start my Paramedic training in two weeks. I am really impressed with the service from Grange driving school They have really supported me and halved the amount of stress I would of been under otherwise as other driving schools told me I couldnt take a test for a matter of months. The energy in the instructors including Richard Swatman and encouragement I have recieved was excellent and I would deffinately recommend them.

John, my driving instructor was just great. I had previously had stacks of lessons with another school and though that I would never learn to drive. John was very patient with me and gave me the confidence I badly needed. I would definately recomend Grange driving school to all my friends.I PASSED

I started my Lessons in Hull at the beginning of January, I had quite a bit of previous experience but was stop/start due to circumstances. When I called grange they told me to book my test and then we could work my lessons into my time frame. I am due to have my second child and wanted to pass before it came. I booked my test for 18th Feburary and booked in my first lessons. I immidiatly felt comftable with Barry the instructor I had been allocated. I had never driven in a city before so was very nervous but as soon as I got going felt fine, 6 weeks later I passed my test, I thank Barry and Grange for their contribution to this as I thought I would never do it. I would recomend to anyone, great.
