In 2013 Groom and Sons undertook a repair to the front gutter roof box of my house. As part of this work I was charged for the replacement of the underlying timbers as these were rotten. Unfortunately despite the repair the damp persisted and after two years of correspondence with Groom and Sons I commissioned a second roofer. When the second roofer removed the felt flat roof he discovered that the original timbers had not been replaced despite that fact that I was charged for this work.

The job required removing a side chimney, removing moss from my roof and checking the tiles were OK. They removed the side chimney but only partially cleared moss from about one third of the roof. They claimed the rest of the moss was too difficult to remove yet I was easily able to remove it. Would never use them again.
